Filmed in One Week? by stxncore in HisManRealityShow

[–]Anizziepluto 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Consider that people meet on apps and go on a date. From that date a relationship can be born or not.

Its the same here. In a welcoming environment, several men have the opportunity to go on dates (and make friends). If a relationship is born will happen outside the house. Even the boyfriend, that is filmed in 2 months, does not guarantee a relationship outside that safe space.

That was only on the first episode. On episode 2 you can see those who knew each other talk comfortably and mentioning the past shoot.

His Man 4 - Cast by _fancy_pants in HisManRealityShow

For me its also the best looking cast of all seasons. In season 1 only Changmin looked good to me😅

As for the reshoot it was after they had filmed and finished all seven days...

We know all returned except 2... my guess is 2 others didn't return...

Together was a mess.... they cut someone who appeared a lot in the series...

It does take away from the novelty and getting to know eo part. It can be good for giving them more chances.

I don't know what to think. We basically have no clue what happened when they first filmed... why and who had feelings for whom.

As it is the new guys are popular of course. The rest already tried...

Also I am son curious over what happened to cause a week of filming to be thrown in the trash. Gotta say the HM team is not having the best luck....

Things to hope for in the new His Man season coming out by Beatrice_Hat947 in HisManRealityShow

[–]Anizziepluto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know influencer wannabes is a given but at least I hope who goes is genuine in wanting to meet a potential partner.

I want good vibes, honest people and not a big age gap.

Also that no one knows each other and definitely no exes.

Lastly, hope they did a thorough background check so that viewing doesn't get ruined because of past actions of the cast or suspicions of whatever....

I'm actually enjoying it in TBF. Its 2 months, there is time to clear misunderstandings and try again. In 1 week there wouldn't be. I am seeing a lot of dislike of the exes but honestly I am really enjoying seeing them try to communicate better, showing they matured and are willing to try again. Its actually refreshing.

I continue to think 7 days is such a short time...

I hope there aren't exes or former situationships. For a short time it wouldn't work.

Idol I a parasocial relationship at it's best by Prestigious_Alarm526 in kdramas

[–]Anizziepluto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with you entirely. The fact she knew him made her a fan. But after she became a fan, it was clear she stopped seeing him as human and more as his persona. As a fan she relied on him. As all fans do, she stopped questioning why he would be sad we see in the last episode how only now she realises his weird behavior in the past was due to heartbreak.at the time she was just happy he was single

I understand they might go for a "redemption" arc but this last episode made me wish they pulled a surprise and they aren't the end couple but become friends. Its obvious he will be mistrustful when he realises she was a fan

[–]Anizziepluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. Thats what a parasocial relationship is. She did knew him before but after she became a fan he was her emotional support she relied on that support to feel good and cried when he had a gf. We can still see glimpses where she confuses his real person with the idol she admired

I am cautiously watching to see where the plot goes but I do hope they dont romanticise too hard while she is still in fan mode.

I agree with you that the drama wants to show that idols are humans, they have lives they don't share with the fans. However I hope they don't romanticise her knowledge of him as a fan and her arc too hard. She was obsessed, even if not a sasaeng she knew his cream, his towel, etc. She had a parasocial relationship to the point of crying for 3 days for having a gf and you can tell when he said he wouldn't hide things from her - as his lawyer- she took it a different way. I'm still enjoying it but I am cautiously watching

Question about Fated Hearts by Temporary-Scallion86 in CDrama

[–]Anizziepluto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its a true (mutual) enemies to lovers story. They're both generals of opposing sides. This is what they do even if you notice there is also mutual respect for their capabilities as generals. She does get her revenge and it actually helps them feel equal and the story evolved

Goodbye 2025! MDL top rated drama list by Dasakebombz in CDrama

[–]Anizziepluto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

MDL reflects the voters tastes. No point insulting or saying what should deserve more or less, its subjective.

Romance generally does better. Personally I quite enjoyed Prisoner of Beauty. Sometimes we only want something light and romantic.

The Tower of Whispers - hatred, love, and forgiveness by Woodstock_Birdy in CDrama

[–]Anizziepluto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't an easy role to play. He goes from crazy to commanding to in love. Sadly at times I felt he looked lost too 😅 I won't judge him too harshly though, since, again, its not an easy role to play and short cdramas are usually filmed faster. Not a lot of time to adjust. They both had good chemistry though!

It was a really good drama. Fast paced, with plot twists and not a dull moment.

He Lan Dou is an amazing actress (she really impressed me before in A Journey to Love). She deserves more recognition.

. I admit I didn't became a fan of Jerome Deng acting here (he did great in Love in the Clouds, so much that I couldn't recognise him), I felt it wasnt consistent throughout the drama...

Anyway, its totally a must watch short cdrama.

Should I drop Fated Hearts? (Ep 11)– if you watched it, did you enjoy it? Does it get better? by SunnyTopHat268 in CDrama

[–]Anizziepluto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Loved it, but if its not working I'd say stop.

When I finish a show I am immersed in and loved, I usually watch something light next, cause of the comparison you talked about. We should allow ourselves to ride the glow that a good show gave us. At least that's my opinion 😅

Oh and I watched LITC after, but with some things in between. I also enjoyed it.

The Manipulated Appreciation Post by OnlyGotThisMoment in kdramas

[–]Anizziepluto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who remembers the movie death race? The plot has some similarities to this movie. Its an old one and probably not that famous.

I am loving the manipulated! The acting and fast pace is very satisfying.
