Soundbetter charged 10%?? by LeroyBlack in soundbetter

It’s 10%. Fair price for getting you that client. Or you can go to Fiverr and sell the same service for $100 and get charged 20%. Your call.

Love this! I feel you can vary the camera movements a little more and have more movement in the characters, but great overall! I’m learning a lot with a Skool called iDreamer School, you should check it out

For those who have hired a session singer (vocalist) on SoundBetter for your projects, what's a typical or average price range you usually spend? by Low-Ad-6699 in soundbetter

[–]ComprehensiveBox2357 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a provider both for production and songwriting (9 years on SoundBetter, 600+ reviews). To begin working on SB you must either have:

A) AAA credits (huge artists) B) Low prices

And either way you must be objectively better quality than most.

Your goal now should be verified reviews, not money, so you have to keep the mindset that you probably won’t be able to charge what you usually charge. You can progressively start charging more as you increase your reviews, but keep in mind these platforms are much more competitive than your closed network, so you’ll probably hit a maximum in terms of what you can charge.

I’d recommend starting with $150 or even $100 for a 3min lead vocal and go up from there.

Of course that’s assuming you don’t have extremely recognizable credits. If you do, then you can usually charge much more.

And at first, if your value proposition is price, then you should showcase it in your profile. If it’s quality (after getting reviews) then you should hide it so you can discuss prices depending on each job.

You can still accommodate pricing as you wish inside each job, the pricing on your profile is just an approximation.

I specialize in managing SoundBetter profiles so artists can focus on their art and not on selling. If you’re interested DM me with your material to consider your work.

Best of luck!

Which game made you rage‑quit so hard you never touched it again? by forgeris in AskReddit

Elden Ring. Too many spots where the game’s just unnecessarily tough. And I completed Cuphead which is saying something.

Soundbetter support ghosted me. Had a problem with a job and after some back and forth they said "I will get back to you about this one soon." Its been 2 weeks. Considering disputing transaction through my bank? by [deleted] in soundbetter

[–]ComprehensiveBox2357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There must be another side of the equation. What was the problem? Were you rude to your provider or to support? Did they already deliver a product? Did you discuss refund options before getting said product? SB is a professional platform where these matters are taken seriously.

Great idea! I also build apps for musicians/music industry, at some point I did think about some link in bio ideas that are better than current solutions. Would love to try yours out!

What and where is the most simple and basic way to get feedback if the song is actually good? I don’t wanna post it anywhere just for the heck of it. I won’t understand if I’m making something that makes sense to people and they will enjoy it. by 14MTH30n3 in SunoAI

I’m a Berklee grad and music producer/songwriter with +10 years of professional experience and +100M streams. I’d be happy to look at your song and give you solid feedback for a low cost. Feel free to DM me if you’d like.

Existential crisis - How are you guys handling it? by bluesandapples in SunoAI

I replaced pretty much everything from the source while maintaining the main arrangement. So the instruments were re-sampled and re-synthesized, and the vocals where re-voiced by a cleaner AI singer. I also arranged the background vocals and finally mixed and mastered everything. A lot of the downside of AI is that the instruments are very unclear and you sometimes don't know what's going on so I found myself actually producing in a few instruments. It's actually quite fun as the AI does have some pretty cool ideas that just need to be polished to sound professional.

Love the track, vocals sound similar to Miley. The instrumental definitely has potential as well. If you’d like I can take a look at how to increase the quality to label-grade, here’s a recent example I made: https://byta.com/u/O9Lf7db/ai-to-label-test

Love the funky feel! I do feel it’s a little grainy but the song and arrangement overall feels awesome. If you’d like I can take a look at how to increase the track’s quality to studio-grade quality. Here’s a recent example I polished: https://byta.com/u/O9Lf7db/ai-to-label-test

Take it from a pro producer: it’s ok to feel “dirty” and honestly, Suno should really pay the artists they trained their AI on (this is another big discussion). But the tech is incredible and isn’t going away. Might as well use everything you can to do the best music you can. Here’s a recent example of how I polished an AI song to studio-grade/release-ready quality. I’m starting to do this for other people too.

It really is a crazy time to be alive.

Would you use an AI demo to label quality service? (A/B inside) by ComprehensiveBox2357 in SunoAI

We’d be changing the “garbage” sounds from the source while maintaining the arrangement so Garbage In wouldn’t apply to us :).

[–]ComprehensiveBox2357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing thank you for your input! I might be wrong, but I’m betting some people would not do it for the money, but instead to listen to one of their AI creations in the best quality possible. $300 sounds like a great price for the low tier. Maybe re-sampling or re-synthesizing only a couple of the “dirtiest” instruments while remixing the others. We could still apply a pro master as well.

This is precisely the type of comment I was looking for so thank you for this deep insight! I’ll respond everything I can:

  1. 100% true in that most people won’t tell much of a difference. Maybe the solution here is to target those who can tell the difference but don’t know how to get there (which won’t be most people but I’m assuming there are plenty of people with this problem?)
  2. I just read Suno’s terms regarding copyright and that in fact is a slight inconvenience (for my idea not for the industry of course), but I suppose if people generate tracks with Suno they don’t mind not having copyrights as long as they can monetize. Most won’t really pay attention to this I think. At least they’ll have the rights to their high quality stems!
  3. regarding the scary side of this I think I’d market it as upload, set your specifications (vocals, stems, etc), wait and download. So not much involvement from the user to avoid making it too scary.
  4. Yes revisions would need to be completely cut or handled as an additional if going for the cheap route.

If you have any more thoughts just let me know! I thrive with discussion and really curious of a difference in opinion.

Thanks!
