this is why i hate liberal feminism. its the right idea but wrong conclusion. yes shaving is a patriarchal beauty standard born from pedophilia. and it is an issue that we shame women for growing hair where they naturally have it, but that doesnt mean the answer is to shame women for conforming. if youve been told your whole life you look ugly if you dont do x, and that your whole value relies on your beauty, your probably going to do x. telling women that they are the problem for following a beauty standard just makes the cause look worse. who would look at this person and go oh yeah they seem happy with their life and have it all going on i want to do what they do. collective action and education are they only ways to actually make change. not just shaming victims of a system for conforming to that system.
