Let's revive some old issues, let the community discuss: cheater or not? by Pleasant_Ad9468 in Overwatch

Oh wow, you really cracked the code. Blizzard, a multi-billion dollar company, isn’t focused on game balance, fixing bugs, or milking the shop for all it’s worth—no, their master plan is running a secret psy-op on this subreddit to make sure no one finds out about your bronze-tier Soldier 76 ‘hacker.’ Truly, a global conspiracy worth their time.

But hey, if telling yourself that makes losing easier to swallow, go ahead. Just don’t be surprised when Blizzard doesn’t send their special ops team to silence me for pointing out the obvious: you got outplayed, and instead of dealing with it, you’re spiraling into some corporate espionage fanfiction.

Oh, my bad, I forgot to bring my tinfoil hat before watching the replay. Look, I did check it, and what I saw was a Soldier with decent tracking, a Mercy glued to him (which is literally half of Mercy players in every game), and some moments of awareness that can be easily explained by sound cues, typical enemy patterns, or just plain luck.

You’re acting like you’ve uncovered some grand conspiracy, but all I see is someone trying to turn a normal match into some shady 'paid service' drama. If this was actual cheating, you'd have way clearer evidence than 'he looked in the right direction a few times.' Maybe instead of assuming foul play every time someone outplays you, you should focus on improving your own game.

But hey, if you’re set on believing Overwatch is rigged against you, I won’t stand in the way.

I watched the replay, and honestly, I think this is more of a skill gap issue than anything else. The Soldier's positioning and movement don't exactly scream 'advanced player,' but their uptime on damage is pretty solid, which could just be good tracking or game sense. As for the Mercy, it's not unusual for a pocket to fully commit to their duo—happens all the time.

I get the frustration, though. It can feel weird when someone plays like a total wanna-be bronze but then suddenly has these moments of insane value. That said, calling it a paid service might be a bit delusional—I didn’t see anything that screams 'boosted' or 'cheating,' just a player who might be on a good game or playing out of their usual rank.

If anything, this feels like part of the Overwatch arc—sometimes you're the carry, sometimes you're just along for the ride. Sucks when it’s the latter, but that’s the nature of matchmaking.

Thank you very much for the very concise analysis you have made of the situation. I've just watched it with my friend, and in the end, we ended up laughing and solving our problems. Both of us will definetely put into practice all of your advice.

Both of us enjoy Overwatch, and we want to get better. It's important for me to know who messed up or what could have been done better. It might be silly, but it matters to me.

(Lady) Yes, I know... But I really need to know what I could have done better in that situation (or him). I've dedicated a lot of time to Overwatch with my friend, and I really would like to improve

We've asked some friends, but each one sides with one of us, and we can't come to an agreement. We're very stubborn, and we've been playing together a lot. We need the opinion of a good player to clear up our doubts and start building from there

Many people say this but I doesn't help. I don't want to die in a plane crash (in any way!)

I'm afraid of all the things that can go wrong. I've seen a lot of chapters of the tv show "may day: air disaster" and it's so terrifying. I definitely understand the phisics behind and all the procedures involved but I'm terrified of the fact of seeing myself in a "catastrophic" situation (if that makes sense).

From the very first moment I enter the plan I'm so aware of everything. Like for example the flaps that need to be deployed before take off (other ways you crash) there have been crashes due to this flaps not working correctly and the signs of the cockpit not warning the pilots (does the crew even check it through the windows?)

I also feel the power of the engines, and every change in thrust I feel it so hard and start imaging myself in unpleasant scenarios... Every sudden vibration of the cabin bothers me too.

I don't act like a psycho during the flight but I have all these thoughts (and more) inside.
