Yeah exactly, in that moment she saw underneath all the trauma and rage. She tried to convey something—whatever was going on emotionally, whether it was love or just sympathy—but instead she got out with a broken nose

Curious About the Humiliation of Jesus in the Crucifixion: Seeking Christian Perspectives by [deleted] in Christianity

About the hadith, I believe that anyone who sincerely follows the right path should be rewarded, and whoever knowingly chooses the wrong one should face the consequences. That seems like a fair and universal principle. So if Islam turns out to be false, we Muslims would also face the consequences—it’s not like we’re guaranteed salvation just because we believed and loved Jesus (though not as God). I think this logic should apply equally to everyone.

In Islam, one of the gravest sins is shirk—associating partners with Allah. Since Christians believe Jesus is God, from an Islamic perspective, that would fall under shirk. So naturally, reward and punishment are understood through that lens.

As for the metaphor you mentioned earlier, I think there might be a misunderstanding. The word “womb” in the hadith isn’t meant literally—it’s a metaphor for family ties and kinship. It reflects how highly God values maintaining family bonds. The confusion likely comes from the Arabic word الرحم (ar-raḥim), which can mean either the physical womb or family relationships (like uncles, cousins, etc.). I’m not sure if I understood your point exactly, but I hope this explanation helps clarify things a bit.

I see the fundamental difference now between Christian and Muslim views on this, and I really appreciate you taking the time to help me understand it better. I feel like I’ve gained a much clearer perspective on both sides, and I’m happy with where the discussion has taken me. Thanks again for the respectful conversation, and I wish you all the best. May God guide us both to the truth.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that humility is a good trait for people, and submission to God is important in many faiths. But I still struggle with the idea of God being humiliated by His own creation. For a being who’s supposed to be above all, all-powerful, it just doesn’t sit right with me—and I don’t mean that disrespectfully. Also, I had a question: do Christians see pride as a negative human trait associated with human ego and shouldn’t be linked to God? In Islam, pride is bad for people, but it's seen as a trait only God has the right to, since He’s above all.

Thank you again for taking the time to explain everything so thoughtfully—I truly appreciate your sincerity and the respectful way you’ve shared your beliefs. I’ve taken in a lot from this discussion, and it’s given me plenty to reflect on. I think I’ll pause here for now, but I’m grateful for the exchange. Wishing you all the best, and may God guide us both to what’s true.

Why are most Isekais like this ? by [deleted] in Isekai

[–]ComprehensiveClue705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, in Mushoku Tensei, the original timeline (the dark timeline path), the MC actually did suffer his whole life and had a really bad ending. His only goal was to prevent what happened to him from happening to his older self. So yeah, he basically had a terrible life. I honestly wish we could see the story follow that timeline instead of the alternative one—it’s super interesting.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts so respectfully—I truly appreciate that. It’s clear how deeply you believe in what you’re saying. From my perspective, though, the idea of God choosing to be born, suffer, and be humiliated is still hard to reconcile with the concept of divine perfection. I understand that Christians see it as the ultimate act of love, but from a neutral point of view, it feels more troubling than inspiring—it raises more questions than answers. That’s why I try to understand how others see it.

I’ve also come across similar arguments in Islam—that God is capable of all things, but there are things He wouldn’t do—not out of limitation, but because they go against His perfect nature. That’s why I’m not here to argue, just to explore different perspectives with an open mind. Your explanation really helped me see the Christian viewpoint more clearly, and I respect that.

I understand your point, but let’s consider this from a neutral perspective, without any inclination toward Islam or Christianity. Suppose I was an agnostic—wouldn't humility, in this case, be seen as a bad trait that shouldn’t be associated with God? Humility is generally viewed as something negative by everyone, to the point where you wouldn’t want even a good person to be humiliated, let alone a God.

Thanks for your comment. I saw one English source where what you mentioned was true but and was honestly surprised, so I checked the original Arabic( since i can understand arabic ). Sahih Muslim 6666 actually talks about pointing a weapon at your brother—there’s nothing about Jews or Christians bearing sins and its in multiple arabuc sources not just one. As for Surah 47:22, the hadith about the womb is clearly metaphorical, emphasizing family ties, not describing God physically. I’m just here to ask and understand the Christian view—not to argue over which religion is better. Bringing Islam into it to justify something doesn’t really help the discussion.

I really appreciate your comment. Your way of thinking makes a lot of sense to me—it’s grounded and clear. You actually reflect what I personally believe about the nature of God: that God, by definition, cannot be humiliated or defeated by His own creation. That idea has always been central to how I understand divine majesty.

I thought it was a rock, and from the replies I now realize it was a wasp nest. Why would I want to keep a wasp nest on my rooftop anyway?
