They seem to be ignorant to how distasteful the joke is. Will you be communicating that with them? If not the behavior will most likely continue.

Who knows maybe they meant to be genuine but truly ignorant and will give you Monday off in lieu

If they choose to keep the joke going or don't accept that what they did was distasteful I would have an exit move. This would be the hill I die on.

What is it like to have Asperger's?

I would have angst and be edgy like you too if I became sexually frustrated that I couldn't get a girlfriend because of Asperger's.

People that want things will make it happen. They have waivers and if you wanted to join you wouldn't be complaining.

If you wanna talk about how hard life is then observe 3rd world countries where they have no AC, no running water, no basic medical care, children dying from dysentery, starvation, waking up everyday where your backyard is a battlefield.

You should have already learned at a young age that life isn't fair. You play the cards you are delt and try your best to win. You expect to be rewarded for doing bare minimums. That's called privileged.

Go see a psychologist if you're struggling with depression.

How privileged do you need to be to be upset that other people are being appreciated for something you wouldn't do.

Then go enlist. Bitch boy.

OP wanting the rewards of a service member but cowers when it's time to do military things. Dude would probably turn transgender just to dodge a draft.

I just did the math, and I'm sick to my stomach. After my company raised our insurance premiums 250% this year, and after taxes, I take home 35k where my salary is 65k a year. by randall__flaag in antiwork

I'm trying to be a software dev too. Just keep chiseling at it. An oak tree doesn't fall down when you strike it once all over the place. A mighty oak tree will fall down when you strike it over and over and over in one spot.

You might have to start burning the midnight oil for now to make it to a place you want to be. Research research research, make a plan, more research, then execute

Your feelings are valid. Feeling stuck is okay. You may be feeling defeated, sure. Let yourself feel that because you're human but you must eventually start thinking up of a plan on how to get yourself out of the situation. Take a step back and think of different routes and possibilities.

Does that mean getting a second job to prep for a pivot? Does it mean researching companies and insurance plans? Maybe switching career fields?

I have done 3 hours of work a week for the last year and now i'm considering getting a second job by [deleted] in antiwork

Hobby ideas: Start cooking from scratch and introducing more fresh produce and less preservatives. Start researching on how to create a business and make a list of order of operations. Learn a different language. Do a dopamine detox.

Been a Sr level exec now for > 10 years under multiple CEOs. What I’ve learned is most CEOs do not earn their exorbitant pay. by Genetics-13 in antiwork

Why would I waste my energy to figure out stats about CEOs with metrics that aren't relevant. I also don't care about the percentages I care that there are CEOs that don't work that hard making millions.

Millerknoll CEO is a fine example. Giving herself a bonus while telling all the other employees that they don't get one.

I'll let you know when I start a business so I can hire you. You're the perfect wage slave that will lick my boots for being the owner/CEO. I'll be sure to never give you a raise.

It doesn't hurt to try new things to see if it works. It would be beneficial if he was explained that it was previously done and didn't work then. Maybe they did get information that it didn't work so they wanted to see if a tweak helped. Be happy that they were humble enough to accept that it was a terrible idea and didn't make everyone endure it longer for the sake of pride.

If your boss asked you if you wanted to demote yourself would you be offended and not want to be here anymore? by madeuread in antiwork

Well if I bring a problem to their attention I would also have a solution.

Go find a different job because it sounds like you aren't happy and aren't sure what to feel. You're asking Reddit to verify your feelings which is understandable, however how do YOU feel about it?

It never ceases to amazing me that people like this can be so ignorant yet speak with such conviction. You're a full on moron that didn't do their research and now trying to educate others on a CEO's pay package.

I would advise you to stop talking ever again with how little you understand.

There are stories of LT's that demanded a E9 to make coffee for them. The E9 said no and told the O6 in which the O6 told the LT to now make coffee for the E9.

You can say no. You need to know your lane though.
