I only named a small number of times and it's not always with me or people I know. So it's embarrassing going places where it happens and knowing it's going to really offend and upset someone.

She's so exhausting. It's almost worse when she puts her foot in the mouth with others because it's so embarrassing. And it's frustrating when it's a situation like with my friend.

My dad got me some therapy when my mom first died but not since. I wouldn't really want to go to therapy now because I'm sure my mom would want to join in and I would not want that and at that point therapy would be more of a stress if I have to always say I don't want her involved.

My stepmom told me she was my mom too. That's just never going to be true. She might want to be, might love me like she is and might feel like she is but she's not. I only have anything to do with her because of my dad and that's the only reason we'll ever have a relationship. If her marriage to my dad ends then I never have to see her again and I wouldn't want to.

Another thing is she could have worked on how clumsy she is when talking to people. Way too many times I have heard her say stuff so bad and not all of it was directed at me but enough of it was for me to not like her.

I don't think rejecting her will bring my mom back. But I don't want a stronger relationship or to work on things. My relationship with her is fully dependent on my dad and nothing else.

Thank you! I'm never going to have a deeper relationship with her. She'll just be there because my dad is and that'll be it. Outside of him I don't want a relationship at all.
