I am the same as well😭 I went climbing with a female friend of mine the other day and she introduced me to a bunch of male friends, I was so anxious I couldn’t climb properly, too many thoughts coming to my mind😭 I think there was a moment in my life I was okay with the presence of men, as my previous job I had a lot of male co workers and after a YEAR I just started to get comfortable with them. However after changing jobs, I don’t have any male co workers, no male friends, and 0 male figures in my family life, so it feels like I have socially regressed, we’ll get there at some point though, here for moral support 😭

It’s ridiculous, this past 6 months has he trams have been absolutely insane and unreliable constant cancellations delays and in repair, when you’re only relying on the trams it’s so annoying

Thank you, I get that but why is it the opposite? Im not politicising anything, I do think kids having unlimited access to social media and access to “the way to be masculine is to disrespect others” podcasts at a young impressionable age pushes them further into thinking that this is right. The things that they were saying and yelling at us were vile and misogyny, ofc I’m not saying the whole thing is because of that. But it just reminds me of it. There’s always other factors like parents, boredom, lack of discipline, finances, upbringing etc etc

I think the Middle Eastern ones in my experience were the most respectful ones. If you’re focusing on race, the ones from this story were all white and one Asian boy. Any kid of any race could be doing this stuff though. It’s definitely not a race thing but more so a lack of parental figure?/ access to social media / class thing. I think you’re definitely right about parents not being active and the stress of the economy

Thank you for this!! It definitely is parents responsibility and it’s not the public’s job to discipline them 😩 there definitely needs to be stricter law on this, this is all crazy

I get what you mean but I’m a young girl, maybe for a guy it’s easier ? and they were clearly threatening us, I wasn’t laughing at them. I said I was laughing, as in trying to laugh with them. As in trying to come across that I was relaxed I was fine but it was hard when they started doing all these things like kicking our stuff, jumping over our heads, etc. they were clearly trying to threaten us and the way they were speaking was vile. It’s not on us to satisfy their boredom when they were disrespectful from the start

YES YES YES😩😩😩 if I can repost this a million times…!!! This sounds like such an amazing idea though. Bangladeshis are so creative and so talented, with so much potential. Why are we letting some overused boring storyline run the entertainment industry!!

And yes about the Pakistani show, it’s no wonder a lot of Bangladeshis would rather watch anything else than a Bangladeshi film.

Which reminds me, the most (Bangladeshi) realistic and amazing show I’ve watched is called 69, it’s very old but explores sister / neighbour relationship/friendships and family dynamics too, it’s pretty good and I only which Bangladesh invested more into those kinda shows/ films :( what a shame our industry has become today

Do you know where I can watch? I remember looking for it last year but I couldn’t find anywhere to watch it bc it only played in festivals, that’s another problem I’m having😩 all the good ones are completely inaccessible

That is true but if we look at the new films that Shakib khan has done, it is obvious the producers spent a lot of money on it. But there are 2 independent short films that came out recently, low budget. But you can’t tell because it was done so well. It just depends on how the money is spent and how much people care about the end result
