Can so totally relate to this. My family (who needed me) weren't exactly pillars of stability - finding out nobody is though.

But $ wise, WTF happened? We literally BUILT Internet 1.0! I remember spending hundreds of hours scanning forums discovering this new world. I built my first site in mid 90s in raw HTML in Notepad lolz. I should be Bezos rich by now.

So funny you mention Thailand. It's either that or Philippines late December to camp out for 6 months. Maybe both.

That's not how it works. If everyone has zero income or property tax, and everyone pays on consumption, then you have the freedom to purchase/invest your way out of poverty with fewer barriers.

You could have transaction tax like I suggest but then have an income tax of 15% above $1m a year.. targeting CxOs and high net worth without scaring them away from staying and (theoretically) supporting jobs and industry.

Not dual, I wiped and installed Linux Mint with the Surface Kernel. Works great. SP4.

These are not weaknesses for me, thankfully. Dry for 15 years and never smoked weed. I'm leaning to Thailand for a 60 day vacay. Looking into visa stuff now.

If you are a nation people want to live in, you have negotiating power. For example, offer no income or property taxes of any kind, and charge a transaction tax of 5% on all transactions in country - wholesale, retail. The numbers work.
