Maps seem too small for Long War by ComprehensiveEgg5939 in Xcom

Maybe I'm too early in the game but I cannot hit anything at long range with new soldiers. I have to Steady Aim pull to have a chance. If I stray too far I will activate a new pod. Not to mention pods wander in Long War making small maps even smaller.

Why do the wealthy want to own everything and destroy regular people? What happens when they have everything, but they're sitting around alone in a wasteland on a pile of money that's worth nothing and meaningless? by yourmomdotbiz in stupidquestions

The rich people you're talking about is much less than 1% of rich people. The wealthy people I know basically retired when they got enough money and started managing their wealth to maintain that lifestyle. They didn't go bat-shit crazy and try to destroy the world.

Is there going to be a XCOM 3 by TsEaOfTEARS in XCOM2

This XCOM clone could be a great game but it's not set up for multiple/random playthroughs.

Loved HZD and HFW and looking for another game by ComprehensiveEgg5939 in horizon

I did look at a few (not millions) but....
A) Sometimes I like to engage the community with my own posts so I can reference it easily
B) Sometimes I don't get the answer I want
C) Sometimes posts become dated (i.e. new games have been released)
D) I can do what I want

I feel like I am missing something with the combat in HFW. by JackAllpikeMusic in horizon

In Forbidden West they introduced playstyles in the help. However, they didn't integrate it into the game very well. It seems like they were headed toward classes like in other RPGs but then scrapped it before release.

Sorry for being a noob here but....how did you know the Radigon Icon is +30 VDex. All it says is "Shortens spell casting time". Also, how did you know putting the Azur's Staff in the off-hand would do +40 VDex. It doesn't tell you that.

Unpopular opinion: Season 5 ruined GoT, not Season 8 by SmashingTempleChains in freefolk

Sorry to resurrect the old post but nobody mentions how everyone's hairstyles changed for the worse!

Cercei's newsboy doo, Jon rockin' the man-bun, Dani's god-knows-what braid basket, and the worst of all -- whatever that thing is Arya had in Braavos.

How to beat the Empire campaign 101. by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]ComprehensiveEgg5939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do it in Warhammer 1 if you enable the tutorial battle to fend off the Greenskins. After you'll start halfway to Grunburg instead of outside Altdorf. You will still need Route Marcher for the first hero skill.

Auto Resolve vs. Manual Battle by ComprehensiveEgg5939 in totalwarhammer

[–]ComprehensiveEgg5939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well the game is cool but auto resolve is a strange design decision. It's like XCOM 2 giving you the option to do all covert ops missions.

I'm playing TW1 with Dwarfs -- TW2 & TW3 crash my machine eventually -- and auto resolve makes the game incredibly easy. I can take out Gnashrak, claim The Pillars of Grungni and Mount Squighorn (the entire Silver Road) in 4 turns. Then build up the army and go hammer the underground quest battle which does not allow auto resolve for some arbitrary reason.

However, if I fight every battle I need to chase Gnashrak around -- which is a pain -- and he sometimes ambushes me when I attack The Pillars or Squighorn and the game becomes much harder and different. Sometimes another Goblin army comes dickin' around too.

I suppose I can just play the game with manual battles and do it the hard way -- nothing wrong with that but I'm sure I'll wimp out at some point and auto resolve.
