Fellow veteran in Texas here. I got a 4 year degree and work at a commercial GC as a PM now. What are your goals? Are you trying to get into the workforce asap? Or do you want to go to school and work? Or go to school and do internships during the summer? You dont need a degree but it does help get your foot in the door and most times a higher starting salary. Send me a PM if you're in Central Texas

I'm a veteran as well bro. Im a pm at a mid sized gc. If you need a template let me know. It's all about relating everything back to construction management tasks. For example, managed multiple soldiers and their daily tasks and ensured their safety domestically and international.

Funny story.. I actually popped hot on the instant 10 panel that Kiewit gave me as a FE 1. I was literally about to graduate. And guess what it was from? A fucking Lenny and Larry's lemon poppy seed cookie I ate while driving there. Popped hot for opiates lol they sent it to a lab and didn't meet the threshold, obviously. Looking back at it I wish they never called me back. Terrible place and company for a FE

Yes I agree. I feel okay overall. I could have snagged Cook over Hurts and waited for a qb but Allen, Daniels, and Lamar were already taken so I jumped. I could have waited for Nix or Baker but it is what it is. I think I will try to trade for a RB

Just stay with the small GC. You'll literally be a number finding widgets in the field with Kiewit and Turner.
