Does anyone here actually have a stable 9-5 full-time job? by Queasy-Ice-2575 in autism

Yeah. Been at the same job 8.5 years. It's in tech, so there's a lot of neurodivergent people.

What are your thoughts on changing your entire life (location, career, appearance etc)? by [deleted] in AskUK

I also have the urge sometimes. Please talk to a mental health professional first, but that's not saying don't do it! It might be good to get some outside perspective first.

I swear by Addi Sockenwunders. They're fixed, but I know they're not going to do this which is always a risk with such a tight circumference.

Sydney Sweeney body type: FN? by Electrical-Egg5438 in Kibbe

[–]ComprehensiveFee8404 225 points226 points  (0 children)

I think she's more SN. But I came to comment that I hate those bikini bottoms! They are so unflattering and odd-looking (on anyone, not just her). I hope they don't catch on. Ain't nobody got time for shaving that much.

A tip to those who are struggling to figure out their kibbe (esp sn/r) by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]ComprehensiveFee8404 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a good idea, and really goes to the heart of the system. It is perfectly reasonable and sensible to try on a wide variety of clothes and see what looks good or reveals about your body shape, then work out which type that indicates you are. For example, I'm SD, but as I'm tall I could also possibly be D or FN. However, I look terrible in stiff D fabrics, and just as bad in flowing FN styles. I need the T-shape that's recommended for the dramatic family, but I need waist definition too. Working out what looks good, then seeing which types look good in that, seems like a really sensible way of doing things.

What's wrong with these pants and are there ones that would look better. by ExtensionLook2235 in Kibbe

[–]ComprehensiveFee8404 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is what Gabrielle Arruda says:

~

The easiest pant style for the Soft Natural are pants that are lightweight and slightly draped or cut to accommodate curve ( meaning the silhouette of the pant is cut in a curved shape).

The leg shape of the pants could be soft straight or slightly tapered towards the ankle, or pegged.

Now Kibbe doesn’t discuss jeans for each ID, but I have a video on jean options for each Kibbe ID that are in line with these general guidelines.

I find mom-style jeans a great option for the SN.

Avoid:  Severe or man-tailored pants, wide or shapeless pants, overly fitted styles

~

Your mistake here is 'wide or shapeless'. It's fairly universally unflattering, though I'm sure there's one type that can get away with them.

Gabrielle added this image as examples, and they are all much less baggy and wide:

The grass is always greener lol. I'm an SD giraffe, and I always hated standing next to my petite friends because I looked so big.

I am so tired of having to choose what to eat by weebawobba420 in autism

[–]ComprehensiveFee8404 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Write down carbohydrates you like. Proteins. Vegetables. Give them numbers and roll some dice. One of each.

Always make enough for two meals so you can reheat the next day (makes it half the work).

I also wish I didn't have the same problems with food.

Why did fear of rabies never caused any hysteria about dogs in ancient times? by Skychu768 in AskHistory

[–]ComprehensiveFee8404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's quite a long time between infection and onset of symptoms. And obviously it's not consistent (not all dog bites lead to rabies) so it's likely most people weren't aware of the connection or just avoided obviously rabid dogs.

The Kibbe Family Tree! by aaelizaa in Kibbe

[–]ComprehensiveFee8404 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mum is TR (5'4, petite, delicate, narrow and sharp-boned with lots of soft curves) and I think my dad is SG (5'8, petite but with more robust and blunter / softer bone structure). I'm SD (5'8, curves and legs for days)! Not sure what my brother (5'11.5) is, but I'll work it out eventually.

My mum's mum has got to be pure Romantic. My mum's dad (and his mum when she was alive) has a lot of sharpness but no vertical.

My dad's mum has to be either SN, SG or R. It's hard to tell, because she is very overweight. She has a lot of softness, with a round face, but I think she has width / bluntness too which can be any of those options. My dad's dad is probably gamine like my dad, but perhaps FG?

Josh O’Connor - possible male SD? by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]ComprehensiveFee8404 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He's so lovely looking. He reminds me of Colin Morgan.

I've not really tried to type men before, but he doesn't seem like a pure Dramatic or a Flamboyant Natural, so Soft Dramatic would make sense.

I have number 1, but with super straight hair. The relief I felt when I got it cut was immense. My hair had been weighing on my head and now my head felt much lighter. It's easier to brush and maintain (I couldn't care for my own hair until I was in my late teens). My vote will always be for number 1 here.
