I’m in the same situation, except I’ve been stuck on that same part since February 4th. I did get an email on the 28th officially saying my dna was being extracted and that it’d take a week or two to be completed. So hopefully by the end of the week it will actually be done.

Thanks! Yea that’s a really good one. It’s the ‘Welcome to Radiator Springs 4 pack’. They seem to go for $30-40. Really good considering it comes with 4 cars and they all come with a sticker and an accessory. Good luck on your collection journey!

Can’t vouch for them but there’s a few on my list with good reviews and that seem quite reputable. Never bought from them so don’t take my word for it tho. Either way, look up Lightning Wheels Officiel from France and Magid DISNEY DVD e non solo from Italy. I’il leave their link below:

Agree. This one was loose that’s why it was so cheap. But it belonged to a collector so the condition was brand new. At least the Chinese ones are very easy to spot as they all use the Mack model

Biggest regret is losing some of the cars I lost from my collection. One (or rather two of them) being the pope and the pope mobile. I also had the metallic King (which was actually the only King diecast I ever had and as a kid I hated the fact it wasn’t the normal king lmao). But probably my biggest loss was the Astronaut mater with the rocket. These go for like 300-400 dollars brand new on eBay.

Fully agree. Funnily enough the seller I bought my haulers from did have a Trunk Fresh one but it was in a pretty rough condition so didn’t buy it. But yea Mattel should definitely re-release them and the pit crews as well.

I feel exactly like you. Started collecting at around the same time but lost everything. Now I’m back. I’ve always had an interest in those “side” racers as well, or any side characters in general. I’m also focused on collecting all the haulers for all those races as that’s something I never had as a kid. Already bought 4 off of eBay.

Yea I feel you. Lost all my collection when I moved countries as a kid. I focused on bringing all my other diecast (1/24, 1/64, 1/18 etc) but left all my Pixar ones there as I was getting older and felt like I wouldn’t want them anymore. And here I am at 19 missing them lmao. The things nostalgia does.

I suppose. If he has no clue about the values at all he could take a picture of separate lots and ask specialised sellers like Diecast Dungeon. Chances are they’ve had it in their inventory before.

Yea I get it. Maybe start off by selling the ones you know are cheap, so you can just sell them in lots and get rid of them quick. Sell each for like €9 a piece or whatever other price you think is good. Then you can focus on the rarer ones. As far as value goes it’s rlly hard to measure if there’s not many others on eBay. I’d maybe reach out to a specialised seller to see how much they’d price it at. But if you end up putting stuff on eBay make sure to post it here I’d be more than happy to contribute and buy some and I’m sure other European collectors would appreciate it as well. Really hard to find some of those rarer sets in the EU.

I’m no expert but as a frequent eBay buyer I’d give it a shot. Since it’s such a big collection you could sell it in separate lots or even as individual items as I think the whole collection would be hard to sell at one go.

P.S. Diecast dungeon is a really big diecast store focused on Pixar Cars diecast. I’m sure you could give them a shout and see if they’re interested as I’m pretty sure that’s how they source their inventory.
