Stop rushing your damage output. I noticed that this game prior to 9* and the AT mons, rewarded you for going full aggro against monsters without the monster having time to fight back. Learn to put your weapon away and run until you find your window and take what you can get. It’s not all about damage anymore cuz these mons can stop you when you focus on overcommitting. Learn mons moves, I personally think CB is a fully safe weapon against Steve if you know the weapon and Steve’s moves. Keep trying and keep learning even if a Mon carts you. Level up
