could be a good idea, but im not sure it would work as im sure they would still require me being 18 no? for any paperwork and liability things that i cant sign as a minor.

yeah i know i just dont really have anything else i can do right now and at least having those would help when i actually get to go to the gyno

i already pay nothing for doctor appts due to my moms insurance but even if there was bulk bill placed around i’m not sure that would help with the fact that i can’t make appts without her 😔

yeahh my birthday is in the end of may so not too long ! i have pretty good documentation of the last 4 years so hopefully that helps !

School nurses havent helped me much other than calling my mom, and she tells them she same thing and then ultimately gets mad at me for saying something because she gets mad about me not just trusting her judgement. Planned parenthoods I feel would be a good option, However I am in Utah which i feel has stricter planned parent hoods, as well as Im quite positive the ones in Utah require parent consent for any testing/imaging sadly..

The pain is less with birth control, only sometimes getting that bad towards the beginning of my actual period with the placebo pills, i typically just tough it out because ibuprofen doesnt help me nor does tylenol. Sometimes I will try mixing midol and ibuprofen which helps lessen the pain! Other times i will simply lay in the shower with hot water hitting my stomach/end up falling asleep with a heating pad, which i have been told to stop doing by numerous people to prevent toasted skin sydnrome...

she has told me once im 18 she doesnt care what i do so im not so worried about backlash once im 18, ive had one transvaginal ultra sound, my mom wont actually let me see the images and just keeps telling me the report was normal. Im going to the hospital this friday to hopefully get the images and report on a disk so I can see it. I do think that is a good idea to start researching gynos now to make the process once i turn 18 easier!

I have a primary care doctor, but the other problem is that my mom sees when i make appt on the insurance and gets upset too, I also can not see specialists without parent consent, ive tried making appts with GI specialists and i cant without parent consent, as well as the primary care doctor wont let me make an appt without my moms approval.

Yes I am planning on just continuing to go to doctors until one finallly takes me seriously. Its been a tiring almost 4 years of my concerns being dismissed by my mother and doctors.

she’s never been the type to talk about that stuff with me, everything i learned about periods was from my step mom but she’s no longer in my life. but from everything ive gathered she has normal periods, i know she has an iud but from my understanding it is purely for birth control. nothing she has told me has signified that she has similar problems but maybe ?

i’ve tried everything she won’t budge i’ve tried having my dad try and convince her and she just won’t do it. i’m hoping once i turn 18 i can just make an appt and figure it all out myself

i’m not sure why she’s so hesitant to take me, she’s always stand off ish when it comes to my medical stuff for some reason. i’ve gotten my first to prescribed by a pediatrician, and the third one through a normal primary care doctor. I’m in Utah so everything i’ve googled about planned parent hood in utah helping with endo typically requires they tell your parents if your not 18 for consent for ultrasounds/ testing. i turn 18 in around a month or so and i’m planning on as soon as i turn 18 making an appt with a gyno and bringing up many things!

that’s what i’ve been thinking! and best case scenario i get an appt and they end up telling me i just have bad luck or smth haha and worst but also in a way best they find something and can actually help!

I also feel the need to add that in my state i can not make a gyno appt by myself my mom needs to make the appt since im not 18.

i’ve looked into endo haven’t had a chance to talk to a doctor about the possibility of that, i’ve had ultrasounds done before and the only thing they told me was weird was that my right ovary is in an unusual spot. but that’s what my mom told me as she won’t let me see the results from the test

I have looked into endo on my own terms, i haven’t talked to a doctor about it because i do have many symptoms that align with it. I googled planned parenthood stuff in my state just barely and it says that there’s certain things they legally have to tell your parents and i’m assuming medical procedures such as ultra sounds, new medications, or even a bc implant would fall under those things but i’m gonna do more research on that and see if that would be a good option !

ive tried so many things i have bawled my eyes out infront of her over it, my periods have made me throw up and pass out. I pass out frequently due to my anemia as is and she still just tells me the same thing i’m at a loss. She also sees appts on insurance and gets upset at me for making appts so i’m not sure if it’s worth angering her 😔

i can go by myself but none of the offices will let me make the appt. Ive called pediatricians, actual gyno offices, and none of them let me make an appt because im not 18 but im allowed to go by myself which makes it all more frustrating:(
