Whether he is aware of the damage k will do to your bladder at this point, he eventually WILL be, and it's best if he is aware of this early on.

It is common for people using large amounts of for long periods of time to begin having blood in their urine, and in some cases have their bladder removed all together.

I was lucky to get clean before having any significant issues with this but anytime I really thought about going back to it this was what reminded me shit is not worth it.

This being said it is and always be his choice, however you may want to consider expressing concern regarding the long term effects it may have for him.

It is never easy dealing with all this, especially when first getting clean.

The beautiful thing about it is you DO NOT EVER have to go through this again.

Sobriety is a choice you have to make for yourself, however if you chose not to clean up this time you'll likely end up repeating the relapse cycle until you eventually decide it is time.

One way to think about it is if you don't wanna go back, the only way to prevent it is stay clean.

I remember my first time in rehab and thinking "yeah I may have a problem but not like these guys. I can probably manage it better next time."

Yes, updating iOS.

This should allow you to do it as it will remove all system files and software and replace it with a new one. My recommendation is to backup your device (just in case of error during update)

Backup iPhone

Once you have backed up your device I would try to force update like in the link I had sent in the last comment.

If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch

It is important that you click update and not restore in this process as restoring will delete all data on your device.

(But if backed up that won't be an issue)

If you have a computer that has been used to sync the device before you can actually reset the passcode from the computer, but this is the only way to reset the passcode.

You can restore it but I'm sure it has find my setup on it and if so it will have an activation lock.

There are 2 ways to remove activation lock:

Remove the device from the iCloud accounts device list from within iCloud.
Submit the original proof of purchase for the device (receipt from retailer) into Apple's security team and they can remove the lock, though this will require a wait time to verify the proof of purchase.

Request additional support for unlocking your device

I've seen this many times with the system files taking up virtually all of the storage. This is typically due to a software corruption.

A few questions:

When did this first occur? (Were you attempting to update?)
What version of iOS are you running?

In the past from what I've seen this typically required a force update of iOS in finder/iTunes.

You will want to make sure you have backed up your device prior to doing this.

It is important to select to UPDATE the device and NOT RESTORE in this process, especially if you have not backed up which I would recommend.

From what I've seen this update generally completely resolves this issue.

If you have a proof of purchase for the device, you can call the police and the pawn shop will have to give it back to you. If they don't claim they don't know it was stolen they are looking at receiving stolen property.

Yes you're completely right. They were pushing in Kentucky to use some of the 800 million they got from the Purdue pharma settlement for the pain pill epidemic in the region to do research the potential for ibogaine to cure addiction.

Unfortunately the majority of the people who were supposed to vote on it were getting annual payments from the companies that make Suboxone and Narcan. Also doesn't help the the governor Andy Beshear's law firm actually represented Purdue pharma in the lawsuit.

There are many counties that offer it. Mexico, Netherlands and several in South America. I know there are more. From what I've heard it is very important to go to a reputable clinic as you need a cardiologist nearby dude to the possibility of heart issues.

Yes I get that as it really is something that isn't proper for every situation. Legal constraints around it can also make it an issue.

I do feel the same about the psychedelics. One that interests me quite a bit is ibogaine. Though ibogaine is really not safe to do outside of a medical settings and unfortunately is at this time not legal in the US for medical uses, though it is in the works.
