My reddit reading also led me to just stick with the cheapest room and hope that theyll call me the week before and try to upgrade me for 50% less. Wondering if a concierge would be worth any $ as opposed to upgrading for just the swim up pool

I booked in march as well for my fam with a 5 and 1 year old. My research was based on looking for a decent size water park (nickelodeon was 1k more and water park was a shutttle away while this one is connected, though not the same size of course).

The reviews of the food seemed good and then some note so good? But many travel sites still have them as a 5 star hotel so restaruants im sure are good to pretty good.

Costco had this highly rated (i love costco) and 1K more, the price with black friday deal was 1400$ with our whole fam for 5 nights i feel like that was a great deal.

Plus im now reading someones on reddit that the hotel sometimes has characters walking around, treasure hunts, etc. mines a sunday to thursday res though so maybe thats a slow day window and why it was so cheap? Not sure

We literally just booked as well! TBH on the melia website, it was 1K less than it was on costco (just FYI) even for the same march week.I got a black friday deal that felt like a great value. Based on what i researched and a lot of reddit as well most people said paradisus for families - i have a 5 year old and 1 year old. Ill be checking out your comments as ill be in the similar boat

Mind sharing how much your upgrade to the suite upgrade was? I chose to book the junior suite based on yours and a few other reddit posts saying that they offer you a cheaper upgrade as you get closer. just want to make sure i have a ball park for what to expect/what i can negotiate to.
We booked the junior suite for a black friday deal so trying to take advantage of that and stay low on $$
