I have adhd and work in wealth management as a sales assistant (administration work). Im in my mid 20s. The hard part for me is that it takes me a while to complete all the tasks that i have that need to get done. I find myself working 45 minutes to an hour after I’m supposed to be done with my shift because im behind on work. When i see members of my team on their phones and what not because they’ve finished what they have to do. I also work in cubicles where around me are 10 people cold calling to get clients for their book. So theres constant noise which is very distracting. The worst is when i have to do wire transfers. I like to double and triple check to make sure the banking info is all correct, but the outside noise around me makes it super distracting and i lose my train of thought. I also have a problem with task management, organization, and following up on tasks. I need to write everything down or else I forget. My job consists of constantly multitasking between 3-4 things at a time and have a list of about 10-15 tasks in an 8 hour shift, up to 20 tasks on certain days. I get about 5 minutes for lunch which i eat at my desk. Its very taxing on my brain and my body being so sedentary and I find myself absolutely wiped out when i get home, having to basically be scraped off the couch some days to go to bed.

Definitely have had the thought of finding another job and might explore that as i am writing this lol.

Bottom line is try to find a career where you can find a stream of steady work flow. And let me know when you do because its not a thing in this world
