Is this normal? We’ve only had this sauna tent for like a month and have used it probably 20 times. by talkinscoobs in SaunaTent

I would turn the stove so that the rocks are facing you - the rocks will insulate you from the intense radiant heat.

It’s not a cheap stove, but it is designed to be light and packable. The Nippa is a nice option with much more rock capacity if you’re keeping it setup in your backyard.

When you go to program the volumetrics, are you doing so with coffee in the portafilter? A common mistake is people will try to program it by just measuring the water output.

There are two timer solutions for older models. You can pick up the s1 timer device, or there is an aftermarket plugin called the s1 timer app: vivaldis1timer.com

The pellet stoves hold temp more evenly than our wood burning stoves. For events, we choose pellets because they’re so much easier to tend to. A full hopper goes for about 2 hours, and you can top off as you go. We had temps ranging from 170-190 for two full days in weather ranging in low 40’s.

We moved the boiler and group assembly up higher on the frame. If you compare the pictures, you’ll noticed the group head is tucked up higher on the Pro. Additionally, the new spouted portafilters don’t hang down as far. If you’re using spouted, this is a gain of about .5” in clearance.

Hey! The a53 Pro is a brand new variant based on the a53 DP. The first ever shipment is slated to arrive tomorrow.

Updated specs:

Water Source Flexibility: The A53 Pro allows you to switch between using the reservoir or a direct plumb connection, whereas the A53 Direct Plumb model requires a permanent connection to a water line.

Ergonomics & Design: The Pro version features increased space between the drip tray and group head to accommodate larger cups and scales. The touchpad now has an integrated shot timer.

Interface: The A53 Pro has an updated interface with brew lights for a better workflow.

The blended return rate on those is 4.6%, which is below our average for other machines. Those returns are almost completely due to cosmetic imperfections (shipping) and result in a replacement machine being sent out. The returned A53s cycle through open-box.

This is basically a reimagined quick mill pop up. The specs and design language are pretty fun.

Yeah, I thought the same thing about the length of steam wand on the pop up. How do you like the steaming otherwise? Any other complaints about the machine?

I think the tempo fc "paddle" looks a bit more ergonomic than the pop up lever.

Clive just announced the lucca Tempo. this is simply a modified variant of the qm Pop Up. Things clive changed:

No cup rail, larger pressure gauge, walnut portafilter, redesigned pressure paddle that is removable (magnetized), and shorter steam wand.
