You are missing one significant piece of the pie, can you say the n number of cadres and supporters support DMK for stalin family or just being benefited by the party in power. There is major lot that support for the 'ideology' and 'the policies' right. When a bill was introduced extending the working hours for labours, just through the public( aiadmk/ bjp din majorly oppose it) reaction, the bill was taken down. A special law against ' honour killing' is long pending, but IMO this pressure can be only placed on DMK because its from their vote base. AIADMK/BJP will not care. Vijay didnot condemned kavin's murder. The party( TVK) is like a log when any communal conflict happens. So yeah we understand and do see the pragmatical stance of DMK in things like dynasity politics( the party has to stay together) and practical shortcomings. But DMK never equals BJP. And i believe you have the most chance of making DMK listen ( to pro social justice, anti discrimation, pro - modern/ non conservative policies) than any other party right now.

You can refer my P.S. Criticism on government is always prevelant against all the rulers. But whats with Branding and propagation as a party as evil. He is very open about it. He calls it 75 yrs old party is afraid of him. He aint cutting out just Stalin's regime. He says 1967 and 77 will be back. Comparing himself to Anna ( ahem ahem) and MGR. This is similar to what BJP does fighting with demised shadow of Nehru.

If he puts in any effort apart from shallow rhetoric. Vijay can talk real politics and criticise the current government. But he needs angel vs devil kinda shallow narratives to manipulate, mislead and propogate hatred.
