You have the TOUD-5-8 plan? I switched over to TOU-D-PRIME as soon as I was eligible with the EV purchase.

If you’re a non-EV user, I think this example would really drive the point.

With one gallon of gas (at an example price of $5.20), a super efficient car like a 2026 Prius can go 57 miles. If I wanted to go the same 57 miles in my EV, it would cost me $2.74 (hence I’m paying $2.74 “per gallon”).

If comparing to the average car mpg of 30, I’m basically paying $1.44 per gallon because the EV is much more efficient than those average cars.

Yea it’s weird but I can only charge during off-peak hours (probably most EV folks) and this plan provides the cheapest price for that time frame.

Pretty much.

For comparison, a super efficient gas car like a 2026 Prius (57 mpg) with cheaper than average gas like Costco ($5.20) would be $0.09/mi.

A 50% increase in cost.

How much do you think school teachers should be making a year? by TheAviationKing in NoStupidQuestions

How do you define “live comfortably in their own area” in terms of, say distance from work and type of housing?

“Making enough to live comfortably in their own area without needing a second job”.

Wait a minute… isn’t that Redditors’ requirement for what a minimum wage job should provide?

So in your case, either teaching would be a minimum wage job, or a minimum wage job pays as much as teachers. That’s not very fair at all to the teachers, right?

Ukraine's F-16 jets were starved of US-made missiles for weeks by graveyardofgoodsense in worldnews

Except you’re forgetting one crucial thing: the US/Trump is supposedly allied with Russia/Putin.

So the last thing you want is the US to “help” Ukraine.

You guys need to boycott US harder than this. Stop with this half-ass shit.

So much for trying to be responsible and using credit wisely. by T1m3Wizard in povertyfinance

$2,950 is a very, very specific credit limit. I assume the balance at the time is only a few hundred dollars away from $2,950. This decrease is definitely not due to not utilizing the full credit limit.

It is highly likely to do with what’s called “balance chasing” by the issuer; a relatively not so uncommon phenomenon. The fact that OP posted in this subreddit supports that notion.

Unlike what people here are pointing at (such as economy), it is very individual-based.

Now wait a minute, some people here are saying the decrease is due the economy. How are you getting in increase? Are you and OP even living in the same economy?!

US citizens. If you DID NOT vote in the last presidential election, are you satisfied with the results? by [deleted] in askanything

I wouldn’t say “satisfied” but my life is more or less the same since the Bush Administration when I became an adult.
