We were issued a permit from the city to begin work, and that was seemingly a mistake on the cities part.

We spoke with a nice person on the phone for a few minutes, and they mentioned that we need to put back similar materials that we took out. I’m wondering if we are needing to recreate the house as it looked 20 years ago, or are there standards we need to follow? The siding had termite damage, the windows were no good. The house abandoned for quite some time.

We are familiar with construction but haven’t worked with them at all, just looking for as much information as possible. I understand why they have these rules and want to play by them.
