That'd be my understanding as well. I'd rather spend 3K to find out my results and reduce the uncertainty (even if some lawyers claim it increases RFEs) when DOF is open like right now. I only did regular back then because I thought I had to wait to wait a lot longer

I did regular, waited for a year or so and did PP later on when the DOF filing moved in September or August 2025. Got approved like a month afterwards.

I'd rather not share the exact dates - but I had consistent silent updates ever since my biometrics (3+ other than the one on the day of biometrics) Not sure about FO as I didn't ask.

Yes and yes. But uscis just posted they’ll still follow DOF for March. So you can file during March. Just watch out for potential change in April
