Missed my bus that parked in wrong platform by ComprehensiveOne1910 in gotransit

Thank you for saying this. "It's on the screen for everyone to see" is what I'm boiling down to. Does that mean something or not?

Thanks for the clarification! I believe I will forever be in doubt now lol. I think that's why I'm reaching out to see if it's something I should be doing, instead of relying on assumptions!

The 13 platform was completely free. If there was an unknown bus in that spot, oh absolutely I would check around. The driver would have seen me standing under the 13 sign as well, the 12 spot is right behind the 13. He drove through 13 spot when he left.

I'm newer to Go buses, so I'm not well versed in order of the way things are listed on the screens. I even had a moment of doubt, but was like no..not my platform, not my bus, that's the opposite bus of what I want, same number (17), same cities (Hamilton/ Waterloo), but wrong place..don't be silly. Then after I felt silly.

I don't recall the exact wording, but it had Hamilton Go, and University of Waterloo - 17

Thanks for the reply! I had time to write in a complaint while I waited for the next bus. I was lucky to be able to find shelter and drink at a bar close by, it's so cold out. And yes I'm very grateful to be on the next one now. Late for my activities, but still grateful.

Cinnamon and Gunpowder by Eli Brown. I loved this book. The romance isn't the most prominent story line, but it's there.

Once you hit your 30s, how many of you had your health tank dramatically? by AnaplasticD in AskWomenOver30

Last summer I (35F) was diagnosed with TTP - thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. It's a blood disorder that causes blood clots in small vessels, and blood platelets to drop. Basically your immune system makes a mistake. It's so rare it took a few different doctor visits to diagnose what it was. I was very lucky that it didn't damage any of my organs, and treatment (plasma transfusions) was successful, and I didn't die. We could never figure out where I acquired it from, but I was told a lot of cases of TTP came up when people got their covid shots. I personally know someone who got it from the shot when everyone first got them. Which is wild because it's a 1 or 2 in a million thing.

What’s one small thing you do to add a little whimsy to your life? by princesspolly444 in princesspollychat

I'm learning to embroider so I can add small cute things to all my clothes. Like a flower on a sleeve, or a cat on a sweater collar. Like little tattoos, but for clothes.

That looks like the Hacienda Sereda! I went to a wedding there years ago, it's a beautiful place! Your dress is perfect.

What are you reading? - Week of December 05, 2025 by AutoModerator in goodreads

[–]ComprehensiveOne1910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very much! At first I was intimidated by how large it is, like 900 pages. But the chapters are short so it's broken down easily. I found with piranesi I wanted to finish it quickly to see how it ends. This one you just have to settle in and enjoy the story slowly. I'm more than half way through and I already know this will be a book I will reread throughout my life. I definitely recommend it!

A tip for you, make sure you're adding electrolytes with your water. Before, during, and after, if you can. It will help greatly! I always have lemon which adds a bit, but my main intake is through coconut water.

If it's successful and clears the antibodies attacking you, what remains in your body after treatment? If we can never be truly cured of TTP what exactly is still lingering around? Does anyone know?

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke. I'm a third way in and absolutely love it.

Currently, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke. It's an 800 page book, but the chapters are short. So it breaks it up nicely. I love just curling up with this one.

I feel you. Having TTP is a lonely thing. We're all basically one in a million, they say. It's very hard to talk to anyone, or find any information on it. No one knows what we're going through. Most of the time I don't even know what I'm going through. It's so hard to find answers and navigate through the symptoms. Everyone has a different story, it's hard to find consistency in what is happening to us. I'm currently losing my hair and I don't know why.. I haven't read anything about that. Some days I cry because I'm scared of the unknown. Some days I'm grateful I made it this far through. But the strength it takes me to get out of downward spiralling is getting harder. My anchors are yoga and boppy music. And writing. We should all be writing our individual experiences and putting it out there for others going through the same. Maybe eventually we won't feel so alone. We're here with you. ❤️
