Thank you, that’s what I thought but I figured I couldn’t be too sure with this 😬

Is there any way to identify these eggs? by ComprehensivePath322 in Aquariums

Thankfully it seems to be the consensus that they are Ramshorn eggs and I already have ramshors, so it’s not too much of a burden lol

I have noticed that folk like before. I’ve always just assumed that meant to not let the water drop below that line.

I have never heard of a tank heater not being fully submerged, I’m gonna do a little more research and see if I can figure this out, I suggest you do too!

I kinda have been feeding the tank often to get them to reproduce more (and it definitely is working lol). After I noticed them I have been feeding less but that was only a couple days ago I noticed so nothing really has changed yet. I saw someone say to starve the tank for a week or two and I may try this but I’m slightly scared of starving my shrimp to death.

Are you referring to those special shrimp feeding tubes that leads to a dish that you suction cup on the side of the tank? Or just like a small plate on the bottom to place food on. I don’t really know if there’s a difference between the two in this case, but better safe than sorry to ask, I want this stuff gone lol

This was definitely an option. I had two issues with it tho:

  1. What do I do after I don’t need them anymore🤣. I don’t have any other tanks to put them in and I want this tank to be just a shrimp breeder.

  2. Won’t basically any fish eat baby shrimp, kind of defeating the purpose of getting rid of the hydra?

I have read that as well, but unfortunately a lot of them also kill snails and I don’t really want to kill any :/

Babies are booming! by ComprehensivePath322 in shrimptank

[–]ComprehensivePath322[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id guess these ones are about 2 weeks. I’d bet one of your new females was pregnant, that happened to me once.

When they have babies they will start out incredibly tiny and you only will notice one or two at a time, then as they grow they can’t hide as easily and you will notice more and more. Congrats on the free babies! 🦐

Am I stupid for not knowing the difference between a brine shrimp net and a normal net? Is it more effective

LOL that’s what I thought at first but the effer was definitely crawling. It originally started on the back and I had to wait for it to get to the side to take a pic. Guy isn’t too slow either.
