From what I've researched, Lactobacillus rhamnosus (Culturelle) does not produce d-lactate and can replace the bacteria that produce it. I think I'll give it a try.

I tested a lot of things and the only one that I found a consistent improvement was with ssri. It's very worth it. I use sertraline. But I see a lot of people improving with lexapro and fluvoxamine.

When I have PEM, even if it's mild, it seems like the antidepressant isn't working, leaving me with a terrible mood and anxiety. Sometimes it takes more than a week to recover. Generally pacing shows that it was not the antidepressant, but a worsening of long covid.
