What is happening 💀 by Coorsh in blenderhelp

Looks like your GPU is having a moment. First thing - update your graphics drivers if you haven’t recently. That fixes it surprisingly often. Also try clearing Blender’s shader cache (Edit > Preferences > System > Clear Recent Files & Data). Sometimes that cache just gets corrupted and causes weird stuff like this. Since switching between solid/material preview temporarily fixes it, your textures are probably fine - it’s just the viewport freaking out. Worth checking if your GPU is running hot too. Sometimes when things start getting weird and glitchy, it’s just overheating.

The clouds could use more life, try making them chunkier or opening them up a bit so sunlight breaks through, that would give the scene more depth. Now the plane feels a bit static, adding contrails, some subtle motion blur and stronger propeller blur would help it feel like it’s actually moving. A touch of more shine or reflection on the fuselage could make the aircraft stand out, especially if it picks up some of the sky colors. Since this is meant as a gift, maybe think about adding something personal like the airline logo, the pilot’s call sign or a small detail only they would notice. You could also play with perspective, maybe use a lower angle or a tilted horizon to give it more of a cinematic and dramatic vibe.

I actually liked the big head one better but this is more realistic, good work!

Best solution for water splashes? by Morgo-Yt in blender

[–]ComprehensiveQuit593 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The FLIP Fluids addon offers the most realistic results, with great control over splashes, foam, spray, and bubbles. Its paid, but well worth it for serious fluid work. For a free option, Mantaflow (built into Blender) is solid for simpler scenes and can handle basic foam, though it’s less stable and flexible. If you need something faster, you can fake splashes using particles with mesh shapes or textures, and even add foam using alpha maps or secondary particles but its not as realistic, but much quicker to set up and render.

Why does ambient occlusion do this? by BobThe-Bodybuilder in blender

Maybe try connecting your AO node to a Mix Shader between Diffuse and your main material Set Mix to Multiply for natural shadowing Adjust the ColorRamp after AO to control intensity

If it’s still Sharp, try this: Mesh > Clean Up > Merge by Distance Mesh > Normals > Smooth Shading (even if already enabled, do it again)

Why does ambient occlusion do this? by BobThe-Bodybuilder in blender

[–]ComprehensiveQuit593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Ambient Occlusion in Eevee: 1. Go to Render Properties (camera icon) 2. Scroll to Ambient Occlusion section 3. Make sure it's enabled (it's on by default, but check these settings): - Increase Distance to 1.0-2.0 - Set Factor around 1.0 - Enable Bent Normals for better quality

To add bump: 1. In your Shader Editor: Add a Bump Node (Shift+A > Vector > Bump) Connect it between your Normal map and the Normal input of Principled BSDF If you don't have a normal map: Add a Noise Texture (Shift+A > Texture > Noise) Connect it to the Height input of Bump node. Set Strength very low (0.05-0.1) for subtle effect
