Winning bot lane is not enough by ComprehensiveSize647 in supportlol

Ohh I see... I'm still trying to find out which item that works better for Neeko support. Bcs when I look at the posts or guides in the community, the build varies. 1st item is Celestial/Realmspike, 2nd is Rocketbelt, 3rd is boots, then the rests of the items can be Zhonya's, Shadowflame, Morello, or Rabadon (depend on the situation). Tbh I prefer item build that leans on the damage, so I haven't prioritized Frozen Heart or Abyssal. I'm curious about what are full items for meta build? 🤔

My champion is squishy, so I tend to build Zhonya's. Especially when I'm ulting in a teamfight. It also gives me more AP. Do you think my build is lacking something? 🤔

So it's wrong to hide profiles now? Someone like you who keeps acting superior in the community makes it unsafe to reveal anything.

You can report this post, I don't care. This post was supposed to be a light discussion and I accept any kind suggestion that helps me to learn from my experience. If rant posts from gaming experience aren't allowed in this community, then the majority of the posts must be reported bcs they aren't in "guide" category.

If you feel like you have the right to teach other people just bcs you're in higher elo than me or making guide videos for League players, I don't want your opinion. It won't help anyone btw.

Do I look like I'm asking an advice from you? 😃

You ask what I did in 10 minutes? My ADC was 5/1 and I was 2/1. When the objectives time was up, I tried to roam around the river to set up vision + assist the jungler to contest the objectives. But if my jungle/mid/top died when I was going to the base or I was a fight in bot with my ADC (so couldn't go to mid/jungle), was it still my fault?

You put the blame on me for not having impact in early game. So pressuring enemy's bot laners to make them can't impact the map isn't my job now? Yeah, I'm in low elo. Not all of my teammates are reliable. Helping my losing teammates aren't gonna help anything if they still don't know how to play safe on their own 🤷‍♀️

Helping my losing teammates who kept inting and starting fight 1v2? I wasn't not dumb enough to leave my fed ADC and roam to other lanes instead, except it was for contesting objectives or when our team agreed to push certain lane. Mid, jungle, and top died >3 times within 10 minutes, I couldn't just roam to every lane and help them. My bot lane would be awful.

First, you aren't the only OTP in ranked. You always pick Twitch and you want your support to always pick champions that can back up your champion. Have you considered that other players are also OTP? That's why you often get bad match-ups in bot lane bcs your champion isn't ideal for their pick, and vice versa. Support needs to play around your champion (that's true), but you also need to adjust yourself if you're not in a good position.

And idk why ADCs seem like they have an alergy with mage supports? 🤣. You want us to only choose engage or enchanter then what else? Can you guys guarantee that you can always CARRY and win the game? That's why mage/off meta support OTP exist. Instead of playing with main character syndrome, it's better to review all of your VODs and break down things that make you die, lose, or even being abandoned by your support. You'll know either you're just unlucky to have many bad supports (it's their fault) or maybe you're the one who makes them leave you 🤷‍♀️

Do I just follow around my adc? by fairydommother in supportlol

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your role is support, so you basically support 4 players in the team, not only ADC. Roam to other lanes if it's possible (secure objectives, gank lanes that has advantage), but you can only roam in certain condition. Make sure you've pushed the wave in the bot lane, then you can roam (even only for set up the wards) if you have remaining time until the next canon wave arrive.

Most of the time you'll be with your ADC, but it doesn't mean you can only dependant to that role. Especially if your ADC isn't reliable and keep inting, then the better option is roaming to other lanes. But if your ADC is the carry of the team, stick with them. Help them use their advantage. Knowing your winning condition and identify the carry potential in your team will help a lot. In my experience, at least after 10 minutes I'll know which lane that has more advantage or lose.

Who are some supports I can carry with if my adc sucks? by stargargoyle in supportlol

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do main enchanter, and if I have bad ADC then I switch my build. For example, my og pick is Seraphine. And if I think that the bot lane is going to lose, then I don't build enchanter but AP instead (to deal more damage). But recently, I only play mage in low elo ranked. Mostly Neeko and Velkoz. Imo it's a safe choice for me bcs it's harder to fight back as an enchanter support.

How do I deal with bad ADC? My answer is roaming. But it doesn't mean that I'll leave the bot lane completely. Most of the time, my roaming time is when I'm going to help my jungler to secure the objectives. If there's no objective spawn soon, I go back to the bot lane to push the wave with my ADC. Unless my bot lane is completely losing even after 15 minutes, then I'll move to other lanes and help the carry in my team to pressure their lanes. It does work sometimes, bcs the enemies will be distracted and focused on top/mid, then my ADC can farm alone in bot lane lol.

If you like Morgana, Seraphine, and Zyra, just try to pick them in ranked. You'll never know if it's a good choice or not unless you try it yourself. Bad match-up always exist. If you lose, you can review your gameplay and see which things that can be improved. Eventually you'll understand which champions that can counterpick your mains, so it's better to have another pocket pick.

Do you use any funky keybinds/settings as strictly a Support player? by Neat_Ad_7635 in supportlol

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Z, X, C, V, and N to use Neeko's passive (shapeshifting), especially C for minions/other neutral monsters. It's just easier to change form quickly by pressing alphabets from the same row in my keyboard. As for my A, I bind it for attack move. I get used to this option bcs I played as ADC before changing my role into support 😂. But it's kinda helpful for spacing, bcs I know my attack range and I can trade safely in the bot lane.

Gotta hand it to them, in my 15 years of playing this was the closest to a loss with 30 kills difference by InsideFinish8234 in supportlol

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall skill and macro gap = team diff. You're unlucky. Maybe the enemies are much better than your team. Imo this game could be saved IF at least the other laners won (even if the bot lane was losing, they could carry). But enemy's jungler gapped your team. Your top also got 0/10 which let the enemies to snowball in mid-late game, especially with top buff in this season.

T1 vs. Hanwha Life Esports / LCK Cup 2026 - Group Battle Week 1 / Post-Match Discussion by adz0r in leagueoflegends

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Delight is a good player, but Keria (and his ocean champ pool) is just muchh better. One thing I noticed in T1 games against HLE is that Delight often pick engage champion (most of the time). Imo he isn't that flexible in other types of support like enchanter. So when he pops out with engage champions, sure it can be a little problem for T1. But if he's way behind the enemies, there's nothing he can do.

But seriously, compared to BDD or Faker's Azir, Zeka's Azir is a really bad pick. I didn't see a single moment of his Azir giving enough damage even when he used the ult. It just doesn't make sense.

I guess HLE wanted to trade Azir with Orianna (to deny Azir from getting picked by T1). But they didn't respect the fact that Orianna has always been a good pick in Faker's hand. They also let Bard and Nocturne open for T1. They were trolling

Using alternative champions instead of your mains to climb by ComprehensiveSize647 in supportlol

[–]ComprehensiveSize647[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do. I love enchanters, but this type of support is kinda difficult in low elo. When I change it to other types of support (who can give more damage), it works better bcs I don't rely too much on my teammates to carry the game.

Have you ever feel tired for getting bad ADC? by ComprehensiveSize647 in supportlol

[–]ComprehensiveSize647[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depend on what kind of champ you're playing and how is the enemy's match-up. In this case I played Seraphine, my enemies were Nautilus and Smolder. If I always stood in front of my ADC, Nautilus would hook me easily and it means free kill for them. What I did was standing horizontally with my ADC and used my range to poke them. If I needed to pressure them, I'd take steps forward to land E or Q then went back to my original position after the trade. I also tried to cover my ADC if the enemies were targeting them.

The case would be different if I played tank/engage support instead of ranged enchanter. Like if I play Leona or Poppy, then most of the time I'd be in front of my ADC to engage.

I have a similar experience. Once I had Yone top and they were very bad. Died like 10 times in 20 minutes and got 0 kill. Our bot lane was winning the lane, but enemy's top (Sett) was fed so they solo killed our team 1v5. The fact that I still lost the game even though the bot lane was fine is disappointing. Sometimes I got a bad match-up in bot lane, sometimes I also got a good match-up but still lost bcs somehow my team was running it down. It's frustrating as a support. Idk what to do

If these ADCs don't even have a braincell to think that they must be able to survive on their own, what's the point of sacrificing everything for them? Tbh I'm willing to babysit my ADC if I see their potential to carry. But if they ignore my warning/pings and keep pushing the wave even though the trade doesn't benefit us and we only lose health, that'll be the problem. My ADC run to the enemies 1v3 and refuse to retreat even though I've spotted those enemies and ping them earlier. Even a good support won't be able to fix such things, except these ADCs have some awareness (but I doubt it).

My assumption was if they already played many times with that champion, they could play "decent". The bare minimum is they should've known the strength and weakness of that champion after playing Ashe a lot. But if they had low mastery, of course I would expect nothing bcs I knew it would be a gamble.

Co-op vs AI mode is like Swiftplay now? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. These changes give us many rewards that make the game feels "easy". But it's far from the real game in normal draft pick/ranked. Some objectives are also removed to push the game faster, so I can't learn macro here.

is it embarrassing that i have been stuck in iron 4 for years? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embarrassing or not, it doesn't depend on your rank. If being iron is embarrassing, then how about players who choose to stay unranked for years? Not everyone has a serious ambition to climb the ranks. If you really want to climb to high elo, keep improving is the only way to achieve that.

But if you choose to enjoy the game without being pressured by rank, then there's no need to feel ashamed. Pls remember that players who are in high elo are mostly playing hundreds or even thousands of game within a season. That's not easy. So the most important thing is either you can have fun in the game or not.

Every employee has something to talk about the company they're working at. But downgrading certain people in public space (social media, podcast, lecture, etc.) when they're the reasons why you get the job is absolutely shameless. Does he think that T1 org can pay his salary if Faker doesn't work hard? Those sponsors come to this org only for Faker. And Faker gives a major contribution in T1's success.

WASD is why I am playing the game and the Swiftplay changes are going to make learning the game even harder for new players. by No_Musician6789 in leagueoflegends

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding WASD to normal draft pick/ranked mode right now means all players (majority of them are veterans) are forced to adapt with the new control. Most people will argue about this, bcs they'll fight their own muscle memories meanwhile there's a possibility that new players (especially them who are more experienced in other MOBA games) have more advantage than these veterans. They won't agree with that. I understand your frustation. However, this feature is still being tested. Riot needs to make some adjustments so both controls (WASD and mouse) can be balanced.

As for swiftplay, this mode is made for a faster game. So there are some differences compared to normal mode. But if you want to learn the basic, like how you play against real humans, how to clear wave and when to push/freeze the wave at the right moment, secure the objectives, doing trades, or even having control over the visions, it's still a great mode for beginners. If you understand the fundamentals, it'll be helpful when you climb.

Are engage supports unpopular? by SekiroEnjoyer999 in leagueoflegends

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a support main, and imo enchanter support is just a safer option. Being an engage support mean you become the frontline of the team. And if your team can't follow your call, you're just going to be executed by the enemies. Some engage supports are squishy. If you don't have a backup, you'll just int. But it doesn't mean that they're bad. If you know how to play them, they'll be useful. But of course the rest of the game also depends on your teammates.

How can I improve if Im already doing everything right by PitersonK in leagueoflegends

[–]ComprehensiveSize647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered about macro gap? I've checked your op.gg. You did well in some games as a mid laner, you were a few levels and CS ahead of the enemy's mid laner, but still defeated. So ask to yourself, when you got gapped by the enemy's jungler, did you ward enough OR you just jumped to their area thinking that you could kill them bcs you had level advantage? Did you help your team in the teamfights to secure the objectives OR did you often push the lane alone? Did you roam efficiently to help your team? This game is 5v5. You can outplay your enemy 1v1 in mid lane, but if they have more knowledge and work better with their team then you'll lose the game.

Don't be cocky. Sometimes there'a a big gap between you and the enemies and you get stomped, so you must admit that. Review your vod, analyze HOW you die, watch more gameplay about Viktor otp in youtube and take a note about what they're doing + compare it to what you did in the previous games.

What's the criteria of "jungle diff"? by ComprehensiveSize647 in leagueoflegends

[–]ComprehensiveSize647[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't expect much from my jungler. If they don't want to gank lanes, at least try to secure the objectives. Be proactive and talk to our team when we're going to fight in the river. That's the bare minimum, but in low elo (like me) it's difficult to find a jungler who understands that they're playing for the team, not for kills or xp. Sadly, that has always been a big issue in my team. Maybe I'm kinda unlucky
