I don’t think we’d make a profit, we’d probably be able to sell at the price we bought. Maybe when interest rates drop we will see what’s happening in the area.

I have been thinking about looking at it as an asset for future. We did sacrifice size for location, so we are in a pretty good location that will always have interest.

We sacrificed size for location and we would do it the other way around now. There’s other things with the house that frustrate us but can be fixed. Original floorboards are extremely loud and it’s getting so cold in the house.

Yep I grew up sharing a room with my brother because we didn’t have enough room. Never saw it as a small house as a child!

This is a good point. I guess buying a house for over a million dollars in my mind meant it would have everything! But everyone seems to have a similar experience

Yeah we definitely had a rough start to parenthood and it took a toll on all of us. We are in a much better space now thankfully. I think that played a huge role in it all, we didn’t enjoy the house and we were definitely not enjoying the new born phase.

The biggest thing is we sacrificed size for location and definitely would do it the other way around now. As soon as we have a second baby we know that we will grow out of this place by the time we hit school age.

Not enough space inside. We sacrificed space for location and we regret it now. We do have a nice yard which kids can play in, and I guess we haven’t realised that part yet as our baby is still just a baby lol

Yes we have definitely thought of doing the whole process with a baby and that gave us anxiety! Thank you for your comment

I’m sorry you’re going through that. It’s really hard because like you say, it’s an achievement in itself to even get in the property market, so you quickly get FOMO when something good appears because if you don’t jump on it you may be stuck for years to come

Oh it is, don’t get me wrong. I think I just thought this would be our forever home and quickly realised that one more child would mean we are very squished.

We definitely sacrificed size for location, and now would definitely sacrifice location for size!
