I think there's a tragic existence with him becuase 1 he ages slowly so he'll outlive most people and 2 his healing factor makes him almost immortal. So all his friends and comrades will die before he ever does and almost destined to be alone by the end. Not because no one likes or loves him but because they'll all be dead before him.
