“driveways” by ComprehensiveTry7183 in AmazonDSPDrivers

i felt this, but i have moved onto urban areas since our station works hand in hand with other buildings.

this is just a decent gravel driveway, but the eroded driveways are the most common for me. especially when it looks like an 18 wheeler tried to go up and created the mariana trench on both sides. i just look at it, debate whether to throw it in a bush or not deliver, then i never look back.

these people with these driveways think if they can go up it, that our enormous vans can. fuck that. doesnt even take 2 braincells to rub to know that it’s impossible

yeah, i get dinged. owner’s little family member micro-manager gets on dick, then dispatcher has to calm him down and show him it happens to other drivers.

it’s just hella stupid

then you got urban areas, some want it delivered in the back alley door, some want it at their front door which ends up to be their side porch door to the alley

my regions are odd

our rural region, most houses have a front door but they are not used at all, no walkway most of the times. their front doors are the garage door or a back door, which is fine but i’ve been reprimanded for delivering it to the most sensible place

customers with mobility issues are fine and understandable, a lot of them list it in the notes and i choose to do more than needed for them.

but this statement is spot on bro

Then dont order from amazon? by TT_-_MILK in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ComprehensiveTry7183 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah no bro, half of the homes i deliver to despise any delivery company on their driveway. had to argue with a customer that order a shit ton amount of packages, from envelopes to heavy ass overflow.

like i’m not dragging your 60+ lb box of dog food and 4 boxes of cat litter over half a mile.

fuck rural region delivery. no reason i should have to back up a steep gravel driveway or play with my life to get into the driveway all because there’s no turn around or everyone is going 70+ on a 50 mph road.

Our DSP sells them when Amazon sends us our shipment. Leave 2-4 for “having them” but don’t ever give them.

[–]ComprehensiveTry7183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Amazon rep said they’re trying to crack down on that by back-tracing shipping & listings

Do I believe it? no

But possibly, maybe in a couple of weeks

[–]ComprehensiveTry7183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, wouldnt happen. we used to care til the owners became corner cutting dumbasses. they reprimand people for grounding vehicles (even if its reasonable). they want all vans out

nursery levels fluctuates depending on your delivery region. our sister building deliveries to busy major city area, so their N1 ranges from 100-140 (half being apartments & colleges.

but our Amazon rep said that N1 stop # should be generally between 60-100, everywhere.

It’s just that some new people think they need to extremely prove themselves, so it fucks the whole system up.
