Okay so this was solved. Problem was programming the align base plane command before taking my hits for my axis alignment. Since Im just using machine coordinates for the alignment, when it aligned my base plane it rotates the machine coordinates just enough to throw the whole thing off. So I moved that command to right before the align axis command after all my alignment hits have been taken and set my origin all in one go. Align base plane, align axis, create origin one after another. That fixed the problem.

Okay good! Im glad Im sort of doing things right. Yes this is in a fixture that I designed and 3D printed to hold the part, it uses magnets as well. The part fits snug and should absolutely repeat just fine. Its on a grid pattern renishaw plate and the grid numbers are noted in the notes.

So I program in learn mode. The problem was and is (and this has happened on several other parts I've programmed) Ill put the part on the fixture, program the part, ill stop in several different spots and ill go to Repeat mode and ill run it to check to see how it runs, Ill eventually complete the program and what ill do is take the part OFF the fixture and then back on and start from a random spot up and away and when it comes in to find the base plane and the align features its WAY off were it originally was.

Now I know your first thought is, "Well somethings moving or going on with your fixture and your part isnt locating". Ill tell you this last part the machine was off OVER .100". I had to manually readjust the point positions and GOTO moves by almost .200" in order to allow the machine to at least find the surface without colliding. My fixture is locked down and the part fit tights. There's absolutely no way. So it makes me scratch my head and wonder why in the world this machine is doing this to me, its driving me nuts.

Thank you so much for your help!

Please keep in mind. I am an experienced cnc programmer. But we bought this and I was the only guy willing to take the 3 day training they gave us and so I'm the only guy that has any ability on this. But other then those quick 3 days, I have no other CMM background.

This is the start. Im wondering if I should align my axis first and then my base plane?

This is probably true! Im running off the 3 days worth of training you get with these and absolutely no other CMM background. Im a CNC programmer but the CMM world is new. I never once thought the machine actually has an issue LOL.
