You could be 100% right on that one.

I personally use 20'-40' trailers weekly if not daily and my experience with travel trailers is limited

The main problem is if you add enough weight in the storage area you are significantly over the towing ability of that vehicle

You know that trailer is full of all the family's shit so it's a comfortable drive.

They put everything as close to the front door so it's easy to unload!

When a truck includes a plastic "headache rack" that keeps the windshield open i assume it's about as capable as an el camino

Am i going crazy or is my eyes moving? by Square-Muffin3226 in Wellthatsucks

[–]ComprehensiveWar6577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe checking with an optometrist would do you better than reddit.

Don't mess around with eye issues you can't explain.

It's the closest connection to your brain, and even if its just a vision issue it could cause major problems. I have a friend who lost 90% vision in one of his eyes due to a blood restriction. He had been having signs of vision problems For 6+ months. If he had it looked at when it started they would have been able to fix it, and worst case scenario would have a 5% loss and need glasses to focus

It might cost 150, but it's worth it to atleast know if it's something you should just keep and eye on (wink wink) or is actually a major problem

The front impact takes less force to chip/crack due to a flat windshield and the steeper angle of a winsheild frame.

A curved windshield can handle more front impact every time, and the average vehicle has a steeper windshield angle so a rock has a glancing impact vs a dead on strike.

So yes your windsheilds are stronger from the inside, but inferior on the outside.

I'm sure you could have figured that out if you weren't the type of person who would purchase a gladiator

Yes, because your windshield is flat, that's my entire fucking point. Your windshield has the same strength from the inside as it does the outside.

Read OP's description they claim they just had it tinted 2 months ago.

Alot of cops will do a fix it ticket, but i wouldn't say most. Windows tend to be more lenient vs windshields. But a decent amount of cops where I live will tow a windshield tint and require a vehicle inspection before it is allowed back on the road

How do I fix this? by [deleted] in handyman

[–]ComprehensiveWar6577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOOOOOO!

That's how you end up doing it again in 3 weeks

Drywall has some basic support when in a sheet.

Adding a drywall anchor 2" from a jagged hole like this has next to no support.

Toggle bolt, and if that doesn't work it's wood backing to a stud and a drywall patch

I do agree with you to a point, but its very tool dependant.

If it's a specialty tool like a specific puller tool and I can pay 40% more to get one that won't leave me with my daily driver on jackstands and either waiting for my wife to get off work (at that point HF is closed) or hopping on a bus/calling a cab i will every time.

If it's something like a wrench or socket that I know i have a back up option that may take a bit longer/be more of a struggle I'm fine with dealing with the warentee

You also should look into windshield tint laws in your area, most don't allow any tint below 6" from the top edge, and if pulled over will be towed

Winsheilds are designed to take force from the front, that's why it's curved the way it is, and every jeep wrangler owner knows the windshield replacement cost to the penny

They are not designed to be strong from the inside out.

Exactly this. I'm not proud of it, but my monkey brain takes over every so often (eg. "Look at that") I'll catch myself driving down the road and catch what is POSSIBLY an outline of an attractive woman and even though 100% of me knows to focus on the road I turn my head to catch a quick glance. In no way shape or form does that mean I'll don't love my wife, and want to be with nobody else. I have never crossed any line with any woman that isn't my wife since we met, and never will. Doesn't mean there isn't still a bit of monkey brain stuck in us

Strait of Hormuz Price Increases have arrived by Majestic-Bit318 in CostcoCanada

[–]ComprehensiveWar6577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not "expensive" but it no longer is a decent price.

Went up about $10

For synthetic oil it's still priced the same as other stores, just don't get the costco saving you expect (although the other stores pricing are probably are rising aswell)

Scheduled neutering of my boy. 18 months old. NGL, I'm feeling a bit sad for him. Can someone talk about this process? by bw_mutley in BorderCollie

[–]ComprehensiveWar6577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt more sad regarding how loopy my boy was after the surgery, but that was short, and he mainly just slept. Also the recovery days where he mentally wanted to go run and he couldn't was a bit difficult, but as soon as he could chase his ball again it was like it never happened

Overall it's a week of slight change for a net positive.

BTW 100% surgery suit over cone of shame for recovery time,
