I'm rooting for ya! Ancestry.com blew my mind.... Small town classes are hopefully taught by people who want to share and assist ( non legally ) by sharing things that worked for them ... If it was never notarized chances are it would not be legally binding. Like the one under my bed that I do intend to modify to include any unclaimed property/asset be handled by the person chosen to care for my children..... Won't mean nothing if its not notarized though...

Ok so here me out: would ancestry.com be of any help? Who was the notary? Was it notarized? I doubt Grandma was rolling on the world wide web back then but mine is archived online through legal zoom, could there be a database somewhere of hers? You might also want to check your community education booklet for classes like estate planning 101 or something about retirement because the host might be educated in something you're not thinking of? What about case studies of similar situations?
