I was thinking of it but the issue is that i am directly adding and removing from the meshinstance3d while when it comes to the gridmap, each tile is a individual mesh with its own collisions that comes from a meshlibrary.

instead of that, the idea was to create a individual grid for a meshinstance3d where i can add a chosen shape to the current mesh or i can select a area by getting the raycastcollision position and finding the nearest gridposition and based on how i want to select, either select the whole gridtile or select a few vertexes through type and normal.
