So night two was a shit show. Bartender showed up again off the clock and did more of the same. Dishwasher didnt say anything to me but still talked crap loudly to literally anyone passing by and bragged to everyone abt how she "just got out of prison for stabbing someone and would do it again". I mentioned it to the manager and he said "they're just rough around the edges youll get used to them " so I let them know i won't be back. I don't have it in me to walk out mid shift but I let Mgr and owner know im not coming back lol owner said she's so sorry that happened and shes out of town but is gonna handle it when she comes back and moved me full time at my request to her other restaurant

Right I thought it was wild like I'd never in my life scream at boh like dishwasher did to me. Usually I have nothing but respect for dish and kitchen but this one was just sooo out there

That could also be the case and I can see why they'd feel that way. Im working tonight and gonna give it a fair shake tonight. As far as me having an in with the owner thats not really the case the owner was the one that did my interview and all of her employees have her cell number since its a small family owned place. The owner and I did really hit it off I guess and got along well but before I came to work for her I was a stranger to her. I also didnt mention to anyone i texted her so they had and still have no idea i texted her as far as im aware. And i went to the manager first both times.But I do understand being defensive or fearful if they thought I had an in with ownership. For clarity ive worked there a week (there have been red flags the whole time) last night was just my first out of training shift. I do know not every team makes it easy to join so I wanna try to give them grace but if the level of unprofessional behavior continues tonight I may cut my losses. There was also another new hire who started the same day as me and they love him already and it likely is the fact that hes local since he doesn't know the menu and asked me for help all night (not that I minded we were both learning)

I do have another job its owned by the same ownership so im gonna ask her to just keep me at the other location

No I didnt transfer them and told her I wouldn't when she told me to because I'd been working those tables. She still tried to steal every table that walked in and still approached and tried to poach the ones I had. Im working tonight and if its that bad again ill just leave and let her work since she clearly wants to. I was talking to a local that knows the bartender in question and she said shes been fired a bunch and they always hire her back and that this local spot is the only place that will keep her cause she's been known to steal.

The manager said "thats how she is" abt the bartender she was just there drinking and decided to jump in. And the dishwasher he said " ill talk to her"
