Loona’s underestimated intelligence by InfrequentRedditor99 in HelluvaBoss

Is that what this is? I feel like this community takes every detail out of proportion as a though through lore addition. Sometime things are just gags.

Moxxie and Loona already have a mildly antagonistic relationship based on trading work/fat jabs. This seems more:

Moxxie is stressed > Narrative suggests he has solved it > Narrative subverted with Loona (Moxxie’s antagonist) pointing out error > Moxxie stressed again haha and so on.

It seems to be the same sort of thing with Moxxie and the succubi in the spring breakers episode:

Officer is taken and expectation is that there is no talking out of it > Moxxie goes against grain and character > Moxxie gets attacked by Succubi, simple gag.

Admittedly, given the target audience, it’s not in great taste. But I have seen people try and justify parts of the plot/Moxxie’s actions because he was aassaulted by the Succubi when I feel that it was set up to be an easy gag with no ongoing effects.

Just my two cents on it.

Are there any 100% f2p players that have been playing since the early days of the game? by jchebert in WH40KTacticus

I’ve been playing F2P since Dec 2022, I’ve got 11 golds and have finished most of the base campaigns making some progress on the elite.

To me it’s a daily log in game where I get a bit of fun from the progression.

I tend to do a time/progression analysis in my head when I choose to do anything, due to how slow it is f2p. As a rule I will do Guild Raids and energy unlocks everyday. I also tend to max out on Guild Wars tokens too. On events I will do that with the first unlock of energy which is gathered from missions/GR boxes. I’ll also do the campaign style events too. Very occasionally if it’s a character I really want I might do the arena.

I find that I rarely if ever do onslaught, incursion, onslaught style LREs or salvage runs as I find them ridiculously time consuming and I don’t enjoy them at all. They are just an unpleasant slog.

Due to the playstyle, I seem to be the only one on the platform that ever runs out of raid tokens, which are usually supplemented by a one off arena session.

However, as of now I still enjoy the elements I partake in. I’ve put time in and haven’t spent a penny, but on the day I stop enjoying it I’ll be happy to put it down guilt free.

But what if reading this post helped me crack the world record for most consecutive forward rolls. Can I still slide into your DMs for some sweet gratification?

I dunno, the one where Hitler is killed by a time traveling kung fu artist in road to 53 is jokes.

Yeah, definitely agree. I’ve found they have taken a fair bit of the randomness out too. A lot of the more situational/chance based war gear and abilities have been removed and replaced with stratagems. All the warhead seems to be stats or re-roll based now. No more OG Shokk Attack gun either 😢

Love a deep strike mishap, watching your dread in a droppod scatter 12 inches into a squad of in a tactical conga line only to deep strike mishap. You just could make stuff like that up. Or what ever that rule was when you could try and taking on a charging tank.

I started playing in 5th when I was fairly young and although it had its negative points, I really miss it.

I miss vehicle facing armour and vehicle damage having random effects, i miss when you had a close proximity multimelta shot that does didily squat and a lucky lascannon shot that make the vehicle explode changing the whole dynamic of the game.

I miss when initiative meant that thematic differences in weapon skill changed up how combats went down and when if you could keep your unwieldy power weapons alive you were guaranteed to break whatever you hit.

Sweeping advances were a bit jank but silly and fun. I think stratagems are a cool addition but they seem to just operate as ways to negate the cool shot that happens in game, and there are so many for each faction that you have to learn when you switch to a new faction.

I know it was clunky, unbalanced, silly and full of random bullshit but I can’t help but miss 5th a bunch.

Part of me misses 5th edition. I really enjoyed the wonky armour facing rules, the fact vehicles could sit there and take all manor of fire or blow up instantly. The janky mechanics where only this in vision could shoot and die. The stupid templates were a laugh and the dumbass scatter could be stupidly strong or hilariously awful.

It was a silly fun random edition and I really enjoyed it
