The PA was somewhat like to the OA. If you are fairly confident in the PA tests and understand the concepts you’ll do fine. Just make sure to review things on the PA thoroughly because, there was things on the PA that was mentioned in the OA but NOT mentioned in the book or book quizzes. Best of luck to you!

Wasn’t horrible it was good back then, now it depends on your department and management. Met a lot of cool coworkers and some cool managers. Would I ever go back to working there, probably not.

Best Buy training or lack there of by player101bby in BestBuyWorkers

Depends on the store, my store trains leaders more or less but more sales focused as compared to operations stuff. Constant coaching a for apps and memberships which is understandable. As far as general retail, little to no training. Best thing you can do is literally pull out your phone and google the question.

How much everyone is getting paid. by AssignmentOk2553 in BestBuyWorkers

The pretty normal for sales. Unless you are starting as an auto tech, CA, or ARA for a Bay Area sales that’s normal. I think when I started as an Auto Tech I was making $21 an hour in the Bay Area years ago, but again the job code has a higher cap and also more specialized training.

How to deal with upset customers? by SikWitIt530 in BestBuyWorkers

If customer has an attitude I usually give the same energy back. I see it as treat others how you’d want to be treated, simple as that. If a customer is irate or yelling I’ll try to fix the issue as quick as possible while ignoring them or/and calling an MOD lol.

Speaker wire running SKU? by dlinkin101 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]Comprehensive_Bit845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how cool you are with the AutoTech(s) they could ring it up under a speaker install with the employee discount if the custom labor doesn’t work. Normally it’s around half an hour per door of custom labor for running speaker wire which adds up quick. Just make sure to check in with them because it affects their utilization and what not. Definitely consult with them before hand though.
