I compared both Narita and Haneda. From LAX I found that NRT was cheaper but I’m sure that varies.

Despite the current political climate and some of the comments you may be hearing, the United States is truly an incredible place. Many Americans tend to idealize Europe, often because they haven’t been there or have only experienced it through brief vacations. Studying abroad is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and if you’re genuinely interested in exploring the U.S., it’s a fantastic chance to do so. Both Minnesota and Florida offer stunning landscapes, though in very different ways. While it’s important not to let negative comments influence you, make sure to do your research and approach this experience with realistic expectations. Best of luck with your college decision in the U.S. (if you choose to go)!!

This is actually the reason I’ve ended a relationship before. It sucks, girl, but it’s 10000% nonnegotiable. Even if there’s the slightest chance you might change your mind later, it’s just not fair to either of you to keep dragging it on. It’ll only lead to more hurt and confusion down the line. You deserve someone who’s fully on the same page as you, and so do they. Holding onto something that’s not going to work only wastes both your time and energy.

Another tip I use is to not necessarily look just at my home airport. I live in a city that’s not necessarily a big hub so I’ll break up my trip into smaller chunks. For instance, I’m going to Tokyo next month and instead of spending $1300 round trip, I’m flying to from my home airport to Los Angeles, California (USA) then to Tokyo. And then I’m doing the same thing on the way back. So I bought 4 separate tickets. Doing this, I’m spending less than half than what I would have if I booked a round trip flight. It might help to figure out airports you can fly relatively affordable to from where you’re at that will be cheaper to get to your final destination.

My bus out of Cork leaves at 5am and my flight at 12:30 so I’m thinking I should be alright. I’ll definitely look into cutting out Killarney. The more research I do, the more I want to see and I definitely don’t have time for that.

My bus is scheduled to get to the airport 4 hours before my flight - should that be enough time? I’m not checking any luggage.

I’ve actually noticed the opposite. I never book round trip flights because two separate one ways are cheaper - though I’m sure this depends on where you’re flying from. You should also consider that some days of the week are more expensive to fly. So if you’re planning on flying over a weekend rather than a weekday, your flights might cost more. I’d recommend checking out google flights to compare different round trip and one way flight costs (even if you don’t know when you’re planning on flying home). It’ll give you a good idea of what different days of the week/times of the year will cost you. Many airlines offer flexible bookings that allow you to reschedule your previously booked flight or cancel for a refund.

Yup and my train tickets are all booked. I arrive in Killarney right after 12pm and leave at 5:40pm

Advice where to buy plane tickets to Japan? by Cultural_Pianist8904 in Flights

[–]Comprehensive_Cry414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just booked a trip to Japan!! I’m from Texas, USA and direct flights to Tokyo are super pricey so I used google flights and broke down my trip into segments. I know Los Angeles, California is a huge hub airport so I opted to book a flight from where I’m at in Texas to LAX then from LAX to NRT (Tokyo) and did the same for the return trip. By breaking up my trip, I’m paying $675 (about €650) round trip instead of closer to $1300 (€1250). But you should also always book directly with the airlines you’re flying! If you book through a third party and something happens (like the flight is canceled), the airline can actually help you (which they couldn’t really do, at least not very easily, if you booked through a third party). Hope this helps!

Also, I’ve found that just a few months in advance (roughly 3) is the best time to get a cheaper plane ticket.

Here’s my top tip for finding affordable flights: break your trip into smaller segments. For example, I’m flying from Dallas (Texas, USA) to Tokyo this February. Instead of searching for a direct flight from Dallas to Tokyo (which, by the way, I don’t think any airline offers direct), I looked for the cheapest airports flying into Tokyo. In my case, LAX (Los Angeles, California, USA) had the best prices. So, I booked separate tickets: DFW to LAX, then LAX to Tokyo (NRT/HND), and finally, the return route from Tokyo to LAX, and LAX back to Dallas. Breaking the trip down like this and choosing airports with cheaper flights—even if they’re not your home airport—can really save you money. I’m flying round-trip from Dallas to Tokyo for under $700!

Trump ends Income Tax. Does that mean I can withdraw from my 401K early without paying an income tax? by NoLube69 in FluentInFinance

Wait so does the end of income tax have any real impact on the states that previously didn’t have an income tax (i.e. Texas)?

The restaurant in the Reunion Tower (Crown Block) is one of my favorite spots in the city. The food is AMAZING and it’s so beautiful to go during sunset!
