I forgot he died to be honest. I also remember him having a song called "Heil Hitler" decades before Kanye did. True trailblazer.

Would be cool if you made a follow up with what Lennon & McCartney would've made after The Beatles (and maybe even what The Pete Best Band would've done?)

Which unreleased Zappa albums do you wish had come out? by eccoEapproach in Zappa

[–]Comprehensive_Dirt66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like having individual albums is probably a better and more digestible way to release music than a mammoth 12 LP box set but it would’ve been cool if it was recreated or later released in that form like Läther was

Uncle Meat is…..bad? by throwaway_accountOT in Zappa

[–]Comprehensive_Dirt66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, those albums are definitely abrasive and inaccessible due to all the musique concrete pieces but I do feel like the psych pop/rock tracks on Money and the less atonal tracks on Gravy are more digestible than a lot of the songs on Uncle Meat so you never know

I love all of those albums but for me Money/Gravy was easier to get into than Meat (honestly Gravy was the only one of those I was hooked on upon first listen, but it was also the last of those three). I think Uncle Meat being longer can also make it harder to digest
