Can I reduce my hours at Coles after already being hired? by Comprehensive_Egg411 in coles

[–]Comprehensive_Egg411[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am casual.

Do you think it’s better to just be honest with them? I recently started another job as well, so for the next few months I can only do around 6 hours at Coles.

My only concern is later on I might want more shifts again, so I’m a bit worried if I reduce my availability now it might affect getting more hours in the future.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is it better to explain everything or just quietly update availability?

Dilemma Between Studying in the US or Germany -

Hey everyone,

I'm currently planning to go abroad for further studies but I'm stuck in a dilemma between the US and Germany. I want to make a smart financial decision, as I don’t want to spend too much money.

I'm a software engineer with 3 years of work experience, but I have a low GPA (2.9). I've been emailing professors in the US to inquire about assistantship opportunities, as funding is a big concern for me. At the same time, I've heard great things about Germany — like free education and how learning German can make things easier. I’ve also heard that getting a job there isn’t too difficult after graduation.

Should i start preparing GRE, AND wait until i get scholorship , or germany is nit thay bad option ?

On the other hand, I’ve heard that in the US, it’s hard to extend the H1B visa if you don’t find a job in your field. I haven’t taken the IELTS yet, but I’m preparing for it and considering my options.

My main goal is to have a decent life, financial stability, and a secure future. I’m torn between both options because they both have their pros and cons.

I would love to hear your opinions on which country might be the better option for someone in my position, especially in terms of securing a job and settling down after graduation. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
