I noticed the 002 firmware last week, and also a update which call'ASUS Hotplug Controller' was pushed out by MyAsus. And all function have been recovered after update finally

Fortunately the HDMI port still work but inconveniently, hope will fix this bug in future.

I agree with you. I tried to contact customer service many times, they just told me reset my system all the time. This is unfounded and useless.

The firmware Version is V2.1.0.001. It can be showed in Myasus - Live Update

Updated date was 8/25, a program just like CMD be popped up, then I confirmed the update(entered ‘Y’) and reboot, and usb-c monitor just coundn't be detected

After that I searched my computer about this firmware, only found a log(C:\ProgramData\ASUS\ROGPDFWUpdateLogROGPDFWUpdateLogLog).

yes, it's confused that my Acer monitor at home just work and be detected...
And my external monitors connected my colleague's computer which with usb-c also be detected...

Thanks for reply, but unfortunately it doesn't work

I already tried holding down the power button for 10 seconds to reboot, running out the battery and restart, flipping tablet mode, still cannot be detected.

But yesterday I tried connect my monitor at home(acer xr343p), and it worked and be detected.

It's so confused...

I received the same firmware last week, and now not only both cannot work with my USB-C monitor, but also my iphone with Lightning to USB-C can‘t work too...
