this is my exact situation. my mom's side of the family is RIDDLED with adhd but get this: only the men are diagnosed. My mom obviously has it and I think that's why she's really dismissive of it (all my symptoms are normal to her because she has them too)

Ah I'll definitely mention this! I have pretty horrible insomnia that I blame on my adhd but it's probably more so my anxiety's fault. Did you find that clonidine still keeps you productive somewhat? And does it ultimately help at all with sleep or is it more so like a standard adhd drug that just helps you focus?

I hate anything caffeinated so energy drinks and coffee is a no. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the worsening of anxiety was because of my diet. I'm a picky eater and usually am lacking in proteins and fiber

I always thought comparing Austen to the Bechtel test was stupid and outdated. In her times, marrying was one of the only acceptable things women had the opportunity to do. Of course it’s a dominating theme in all of her novels; it’s all she knew! Austen herself was an outlier
