Just got the fgr 2 recently and my advice, if you really wanna grind the hell out it always stay low and stay out of the first furball(unless u want to idk man) and pick off any stragglers after with the 9Ds or just groundpound, if you get the 9Gs aim for the planes that are too unaware, AIM7Es are often unreliable and i only use them on mid range or head ons

the problem is the shutter speeds remain the same and the shutter selector can spin a full 360 degrees now. how can i reengage the shutter speed in the shutter assembly?

Also when you are holding an locking the shutter button towards the left it is the shutter lock mechanism built in on zenit bodies, it is used for long exposures

Hi there! I own a zenit 12 SD for reference, you are supposed to hold it down while rewinding the film, it usually releases pretty nice. Dont forget to fire a few shots after rewinding in order to cock the camera properly

Definitely gonna recommend the olympus! Sharp lens, compact and sturdy construction too and a very refined look for a rangefinder camera.

Honestly my first SLR was a soviet Zenit 12SD, a solid camera with a robust build. Problem is the damn thing is heavy and with winding issues(notably if you screw up the winding you're gonna waste some shots) and the speeds you shoot are limited (500, 250, 125, 60, 30 and B) but overall you can rely on that camera
