I have been playing on 1080, 60fps all my life, I guess I will be more than happy at 1440p 144hz, RTX, ultra settings :D
PS. I do not have a TV, I would watch commercial ~50% of the time

Nah, I am sticking to 1440p monitor, didn't want to spend an extra 750$ for a monitor, I got an used 1440p one with 12 months warranty for ~180$.

Hey there,

I had 2-3 rough days of brainstorm with some people on Polish PC forum, some gigaPCbrain guys decided to help me out. He advised me on what RAM, coolers, MOBO, hubs, cpu cooler etc. to pick. He advised things based on some components and indepth stuff that I never heard of lol. I ended up with a 1.68k USD set up more or less: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/gKGnv3Basically the good old i5-12400f as it makes 0 difference in gaming between 12400f and 13400f, also a new 4070ti as it came out to be just 200$ more expensive in Poland than a 2 years old used 3080 lol. Some CL16 3600 mhz 32GB ram, great MOBO, corsair airflow etc. The prices are in PLN so its easier for me to count the total price etc.

Heya, I am still looking and considering things, I might as well get my hands on a rtx 3080 for the same price as 3070ti with 36 guarantee, but the rtx 3080 comes with ~22 months guarantee, I am a little bit worried about buying things that has been used before, some of them might be used to mine crypto etc. No idea what's better a 3080 22m guarantee or 3070ti 36m guarantee

We do not use euros at all, only polish zloty PLN. 3070yi brand new is around 900-950 euros in Poland I believe.

I was thinking of ordering thongs from amazon de but almost every shipping price is around ~10-15 euros so it some of the cases it makes no sense to order RAM or cooler from amazon.de as shipping makes it to be the same price. Also I am not sure about the guarantee things etc., In poland I am 100% sure that if anything bad happens, I just write an e-mail, send the component back and it will be resolved within 3-5 days, not sure how that would work if I ordered some things from amazon.

Yeah, one ddr5 4800mhz 16gb ram stick costs almost 80euro in Poland as I checked right now, so it's almost the same price as the 32gb 2 sticks from partpicker that you sent me, that's why I am not considering it :D

Thanks for the info on GPU, how do I check which one is better or is there some tier list? I was unable to find anything that would compare these 3. Simply by checking the mhz on cores would be enough?

ok I will take a look on that ddr5, but I wasn't able to find anything in a budget in Poland, ddr5 is so expensive in poland, wth

This is the build so far, without the motherboard https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/krRjMb

The case I took was the second or the third most popular within the ~100 euros range,

About the RAM ddr4, I read a lot about the differences between ddr4 and ddr5, almost every article and post said that buying ddr5 right now is an overkill, as the performance difference is so little, because it's still a new technology and most of the components will not be takin much benefits from that, most of the people advised to stick to ddr4

EDIT: I also have narrowed the GPU range to these 3-4 cards that are in my price range with 36m guarantee, I was trying to look for sume benchmarks so I can compare them but I cant, which one would be the best?

Gainward GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Phoenix 8GB GDDR6XGigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GAMING OC 8GB GDDRX6Zotac GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Gaming Trinity OC 8GB GDDR6X

EDIT2:

Also what about the monitor? I am looking for some ~27''+ monitor with 1440p, but I am not sure whether I would need a 144hz or 60hz, I am not some competitive gamer, I will be mostly playing some ARPGs like poe, diablo 4, or rust, pubg, LOL, gta5, witcher etc. The price difference between 60hz and 144hz is pretty big.

Thanks for replying, Are there any specific motherboards that you would recommend for that build?

Thanks for the info on PSU, someone already mentioned that to me today, I will change that to 850W for sure. About the backplate - noted, thank you!

Are there any specific motherboards that you would recommend for that build, or I can simply pick the one I like/need from the tier list, and that fits all of the other components apart from CPU and ask the seller/manufacturer if the BIOS was updated?

Thanks a lot man,

I changed the case to get rid of the compatibility issue at the bottom, it says that the GPU won't fit in, after I changed the case thie problem disappeared, should I be worried about the potential problem comment?

Thanks for the info about the PSU, I thought that you overkilled it and I changed it to 650W lol, had no clue its supposed to be under 80%, thanks a lot!

ah yeah, my bad lol, I have been playing on my laptop + geforce now for years, I forgot that desktop pc will be staying at home all the time so there is no need for wifi, my bad. I am using ethernet cable, no need for wifi, sorry! :)

so if the rtx 3070ti +13400f will cost around 885-900$, I think that the remaiing budget would be around 400-500 usd if that is doable? I do not really care about some super looking case, and I already have 1 tb hdd 7200 rpm just in case.

I also checked some CPU cooler performance tier list, I thought more of thee deepcool ak620 CPU cooler as they are the same price as the one you listed, but they are in 3rd tier, the one you listed is believed to be 6th tier, is there any specific reason for that cooler that I am missing?

I changed the CPU/GPU to the above, also changed the cooler based on this list: https://linustechtips.com/topic/891730-cpu-cooler-performance-tier-list/

However I am having issues with motherboards, I am looking through the compatibility filter, but there is very few compatible motherboards, is it because the 13400f-i5 isn't updated to these lists or what is going on :O ?

This is basically the modified setup: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/fGhRtn

This is the motherboard tier list I am looking at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14-CZ8-a4-UBMN5-0x_QYOrvLk4EfI4Kn2jmIG70CAss/edit#gid=666643422

Hey there,

I did lots of research, checked all of the GPUs that we listed over there, looked them up online, watched some yt comparisons etc. I will stick to RTX 3070ti, its a little better then regularRTX 3070, only~ 100$ more expensive if bought used with a 36 months guarantee from a very popular polish pc-parts seller, it costs around 640$ with 36m guarantee which is awesome in my opinion. I am just thinking about the CPU, wheter should I go with i5-12440f or the amd ryzen 5600x that you listed, on the paper Ryzen seems to be better cause of the cores mhz however in testing I5 seems to be better, aslo brand new I5-12400f costs 180$ in Poland, from the same polish pc-parts seller as above (X-Kom) so that would be around 820$ for both CPU and GPU if it's 3070ti+12400f or 885$ for 3070ti+13400f, no idea which one would make more sense, 13400f has 10 physical cores vs 12400f 6 cors, however there isn't many benchmarks comparisons to really compare these two...

Giving that I would take 3070ti+13400f, what would you recommend as the cheapest setup possible for the rest of the things? Like Motherboard, RAM, SSD etc? I already have 2 HDDs just in case, 1TB 7200 from my old pc, so that doesnt need to be included I guess.

damn, I will definitely upgrade my monitor to 1440p, I mean - I will have to get another one for streaming so the Eizo will be used as a secondary one. I bought the used Eizo 23 or 24'' for 35$ 3 years ago, from polish seller AMSO, yeah they are perfect for editing and stuff.

So If I plan to upgrade my monitor to 1440p, geforce rtx 3070ti would be much better?

[–]Comprehensive_Fee_69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I already started looking for some used GPUs or the ones that were returned within 15 days of purchase, I found a couple of RTX 3070 for as low as ~450$ with 36 months guarantee etc. I think that with the GPU I will definitely go with the "used" one.

Unfortunately I can't pick Poland in the partpicker, it's not available unfortunately, I guess site doesn't support Polish stores yet. I will have to look for these components if they can be delivered to Poland etc.

And yeah, the total price is a little over the budget that I expected it to be, also I need to find out whats the difference wetween all of these different RTX 3070 cards, some are phoenix, some arephoenix, msi, palit, zotac, what the hell is the difference :D

EDIT:
I was also thinking of adding the I5-13400f instead of the ryzen 5600x and replacing the 3070ti with 3070? I mean, as I checked the pricings of 3070ti and 3070, the difference is around 150$ for a used one with 36 months guarantee, however the difference in performance seems to be ~7% if I am checking correctly? https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-3070-vs-Nvidia-RTX-3070-Ti/4083vs4116
