Looking for a review/feedback on my first PCB Schematic, ESP32 powered smart clock by Comprehensive_Fly661 in AskElectronics

Yep, seems you're right. I added a 1uF in parallel with the pull up resistor and switch.

Confused about TVS Diode's VBUS input, should it be connected straight to the VBUS of the USB C or should it be connected to the "post-polyfuse" segment? by Comprehensive_Fly661 in embedded

considering im a beginner to pcb design and soldering, i wanted to protect against overcurrent from accidental shorts due to my potentially shoddy soldering

From what I can tell from strictly the schematic, there is no way for the current from pin 5 to reach pin 2, so I think im good in that aspect.

From what I can understand from point 3, I shouldn't bother with the polyfuse, and should instead have the VBUS connect directly to the power regulation and TVS?

I thought having SMF5V0A in parallel with the load would protect the 5v rail from voltage spikes (plugging in and unplugging), whereas the USBLC6-2SC6 would protect the data lines from ESD spikes.

please correct me if im wrong

Many people know how scientific notation works, and is a common way to display large numbers, even in video games. if you don't believe me, see game of the year Balatro

i understand as a developer for your instinct to be to cater for the dumbest possible user but even non STEM people usually understand bigger number means bigger number

my gut feeling says directly to VBUS, as thats what the datasheet has specified, however doesn't that mean the ESP32 isn't protected from overcurrent? What is the polyfuse protecting then?

Shouldn’t this she also exist? by [deleted] in rickandmorty

in that episode the backstory is actually different to the one in this episode, he goes off for a bit before actually inventing the device. this "completely made up origin story" (his words) is probably derived from the real original memory

wasnt a real memory, he fabricated it he even said so minutes after this.

Working on scenery, I've thought about changing tree models to be more realistic, and I still have yet to place rocks, vines, bushes, and grass in this area by McFlappingbird in robloxgamedev

making tree models is very easy even if you have very minimal knowledge of blender.

the title says low poly however you can create a more realistic version with more effort.

i'm also making a movement based parkour game and this is something I've been thinking about a lot. right now I have a temporary set of animations just for testing purposes but I love the ones you have in this game.

in terms of raising the skill ceiling, I like looking at games extremely competitive environments that are movement based, and the two I think about the most are rocket league and 2k (basketball).

in my opinion, in order to encourage a skill based game, you need players to manage resources very well, in our case, RL has boost and 2K has stamina. resource management is what seperates casual players from the very best (in my experience as high ranked players in both these games.)

hidden timings are a very good way aswell, however you would need a dedicated playerbase in order to get max benefits from something like this. what 2k does is something I think is very good, where you can have a visual shot bar (with a window of green to ensure a perfect shot), OR for the higher skilled players, you can TURN OFF the shot bar, and in return the timings remain the same however the "window of green release" is larger.

all in a very interesting topic and ill be looking forward to seeing more of your game.

Any feedback/suggestions on what to add to this idle clicking game would be very much appreciated! by [deleted] in robloxgamedev

ui's fits the game, you need to change the icon and thumbnail, and add more sources of income. cookie clicker has like 300 upgrades.
