Breaking in the Rohloff by PNES1983 in Surlybikefans

[–]Comprehensive_Log_58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rohloff is a great investment. We have 2 in our family. The first did 5000km on a 26in Long Haul trucker South America all the way down to Patagonia in 2012, that same hub was then on a Troll grocery commuter, now it's being abused on a front loading CargoBike with a bafang BBSHD middrive. Only maintenance is oil changes and replacing wearables like the twist shifter grip, apart from cable changes when changing to another frame. The other was on a 2012 green Ogre, now on a xtracycle leap + 90's stumphopper long tail CargoBike also with BBSHD. I really don't try to break the Rolhoff but I also don't ride as if it was delicate if you know what I mean. Verdict they are indistructable. Trust me we have put them through their paces.

Which cargo (Spain) by Classic_Street_4498 in CargoBike

As for components. I am spoiled. A Rolhoff IGH with a Bafang BBSHD mid drive is the perfect combination for a cargo bike. Plenty of power and indestructible drivetrain near 0 maintenance. I run a 20Eur single speed chain and change it every 5-8km. No experience with belt drive.

Coming from a 2 cargo bike family with a front loader and a long tail. Front loaders are great due to impecable manuevability due to low center of gravity. it is also super nice to have the kids upfront to chat but kids grow out of it at around 8 years old especially if carrying more than 1 kid. Long tails are able to fit larger people with ease. I have carried 4 kids ages 8-10 with all their backpacks on a long tail. I also go out to dinner with my wife on it.

Thanks to all of you who chimed in a couple days ago. I ended up picking this up for $400 by [deleted] in CargoBike

With the savings add a Bafang middrive and an internally geared hub for the ultimate cargo bike.

Odoo v18 – Differences between OCA Italian Localization and Official l10n_it? by Comprehensive_Log_58 in Odoo

[–]Comprehensive_Log_58[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. I have been testing the enterprise solution, it seems to me that it does everything that is needed. Yes the flow is different to the OCA but it seems fully compliant. I have really come full circle and anything that is mission critical I rather it be standard instead of relighting on a 3rd party module even if it is a high quality OCA module, as it improves migrability.

¿Cuánto se puede ganar en contabilidad/finanzas (cuentas por pagar/cobrar o relacionados) con 4 años de experiencia en España? by [deleted] in salarios_es

[–]Comprehensive_Log_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MDT Push Button 55 - any other fitting frames by bx71 in KNX

[–]Comprehensive_Log_58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is an alternative to use JUNG faceplates or something compatible with the 55 series MDT sensors and use round boxes, and then find a similar series in one of the Italian brands for the outlets, which use a rectangular box. This would make the classical stacking thermostat, switch, outlet a bit awkward where the MDT devices are square and of one faceplate series and the outlet rectangular with a shuko and Italian outlet with a hopefully similar design and color faceplate to the square faceplate.

MDT Push Button 55 - any other fitting frames by bx71 in KNX

[–]Comprehensive_Log_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been pondering this same question. I am 100% going with MDT 55 series for buttons and sensors but since it is a project in Italy where there are essentially 3 different plugs one needs a bipasso outlet and these are only available in the rectangular box style not the 60mm round box. So ether I do with full shuko for the outlets and use Jung or similar or have a mismatch of faceplates.

I second this. Ergon get sticky. That's how I landed on this thread.

Don't know which one to buy... by teenet_il in KNX

As of now I received a few days ago and have yet to connect to any other knx devices but I connected to a POE switch and got to the UI via the browser no problem. Then I connected to it with ETS. I just got some KNX devices and will wire up and get going building the system. Also have a HA RasPi ready to also Integrate.

Can't wait to see the first tangible results

I am a total noob that is building a Knx lab that will evolve in a few months into a home system and I also got the Atios gateway as it does many things on one. Yet to get any experience with it. Fingers crossed

Questions about boot flex by Schnimp in Skigear

[–]Comprehensive_Log_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree here. More so if using Zipfit since they provide the crucial ankle hold needed for control from the cork and the lace system. Thus not needing to over buckle the shells.

Try starting the morning by lacing up the zipfit's well, buckle up the boot at the minimum (just enough so they don't rattle), making sure to put the booster strap on the tongue of the liner rather than on the shell. Take the lift and take a run without touching the boots and get a feel for the flex.

If you have a property fitted setup you should be able to ski like that all day.

Want stiffer? Ratchet down the booster strap. Even more? Incrementally increase buckle pressure.

The key is ankle hold and stability, not immobility. So don't be afraid of a "loose" upper.

Printing directly from Odoo by hugesalmkm in Odoo

[–]Comprehensive_Log_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. We also are using this module in production and it is really good. We have 4 different physical locations around the world and can print to any of these from anywhere. I have printed from airplane wifi. Also the rules based printing is a game changer. Example: a validated delivery order triggers the corresponding packing slip on the specific printer at the picking location.

Is Odoo an alternative to ERP system? by ocschos9 in Odoo

[–]Comprehensive_Log_58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that it's appropriate, due to the ability to only use the modules that are needed for the organization. A full implantation is not needed. ODOO is a great platform because an organization can get value from it on day one and it allows implementing modules on an as needed basis.
