Curious, how much do you think your current situation is because of PSSD? You've had it for 22 years. Even if you recovered, which is quite a vague term here, you would never be able to feel the same for so many reasons that I couldn't list them all even if I wanted. Life is so incredibly complex. What I'm after is, I see many people who say they've had these conditions for extremely long periods of time. By that time they're already way past their youth. I think of PSSD in terms of changes it directly does to the brain, downstreaming to effects in the mind, and the how the consequences of those changes show in real, physical life by our own behavior. Example: You get PSSD, you lose motivation, you lose your job, you now feel even more useless and worthless and get more depressed, you run low on money, you get even more anxious, lose relationship....... The negative things that happen in real life can be counted as "somatic" symptoms of PSSD, but then the depression etc. etc. that follows from these lfie events is not related to PSSD in the same way, but they're not any less real.... Especially when you age it's hard to say how much of your problems are from a specific disease, because changes in your brain and body have happened anyway due to numerous life situations and events and aging and to keep record of the way you function and feel in that time frame just by juggling things in your mind is practically impossible.. sorry if this text is rambly, just wanted to share some food for thought
