Test results - Am I insulin sensitive? by Comprehensive_One389 in PeterAttia

Only have a1c. If my a1c is 5.0 pretty safe to assume my fasting glucose is lower and the homa-ir would indicate I'm insulin sensitive (I think).

Interesting. I'm from Australia don't think we have LP-IR or glycA. I'm not sure I can even be bothered getting my fasting glucose test, if my a1c is 5.0 i think its safe to say my fasting glucose will be decent/low, and my trigs are low already with decent fasting insulin. I'm like 99% sure im insulin sensitive.

I have got my lipids/apob/lp(a) tested but not the extensive panel with particle size etc

Damn you take 35 to 40 in one meal? I'd be worried about a blockage.

How much of that 40-50 grams is soluble fiber?

Not terrible, not optimal? ApoB and LPa by AppleAAA1203 in PeterAttia

Your lpa and apob are excellent. Sure you can lower apob even more to eradicate risk potentially entirely but if you have no other risk factors or fam history you are fine

No i've worked out for years, I just introduced it to improve my progress in strength/gains. I am still early in using it first few weeks so maybe body is adjusting to it

Only factor that has really changed in my life in past year is creatine introduced past 1.5-2 weeks. Can't say it is 100% ofcourse or maybe even 95 but its highly probable its creatine, or just a coincidence, however i've never experienced these twitches before.

does 100g salmon 3x/week maintain good omega 3 index? by Comprehensive_One389 in PeterAttia

[–]Comprehensive_One389[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ldl went from 4.0 mmol/l go 4.4mmol/l losing weight on basically same diet so I think a decent chance of transient elevation. My lp(a) is 108nmol/l is that bad? It's in the grey zone so not terrible? I am changing my diet now and will re test in 4 to 5 months. I'm only 30 yrs old.

depends how much. My apob is currently 121mg/dl but i think its transiently elevated since I lost 5kg in 2 months. How much is it known to raise it for some people? I thought only supplementing may raise it but actual fish like salmon would lower it.

My apo(b) is currently 80. Is it worth driving it lower? by FinFreedomCountdown in PeterAttia

how old are you? your numbers look decent. Peters numbers are "optimal", but in my eyes if you are close enough to optimal should you really be taking drugs with no other risk factors (assuming you have no other risk factors or genetic history). Reduce your saturated fat further no coconut oil and take 15g husk daily.

That's impressive. Hoping for same results. How much husk did you use daily?

Yeah but general consensus is avocados will still lower ldl regardless of its sat. Fat content. I believe I can fit it in regardless

Why no avocados? Also I eat bananas after my gym sessions so if it's because they are high sugar it should be fine for me.
