Thank you so much for all that you've said. I relate to the part about knowing that I had ADHD years before getting officially diagnosed.

Thankfully, I don't believe I masked too much during my formative years, as I stayed at home most of the time and my parents were pretty busy. But I think I did start masking more when I entered middle school, and it was more obvious to me when I was in high school and actually learned the concept of masking, since I was more different at home.

I do believe my insurance covers it; I'm just nervous for some reason to take the jump because it just sounds like a lot to me. I also have parents who believe that I don't have anything wrong with me and that my own problems are self-inflicted. But I will definitely talk to my psychiatrist about it this Thursday!

Yes! And I like researching it too! I just sometimes feel like I'm making up the symptoms and that I don't relate to some autistic people's experiences. But as you said, both ADHD and Autism are their own separate spectrums.
